I finally have a quiz that's made it past 100 takers (how sad is that??). So am I anywhere near the top 25? What's it take to get there?

I'm pretty sure my quiz that was #25 the other day had about 125 takers at that point.

Holy crap... I'm happy as heck to get 56 on my latest quiz.

My Candy quiz (which is the only one I've ever had up there) got up there with about 85. It now has over 400 - amazing what some exposure will get ya.

I think it all depends on the other quizzes that are current at the moment. If there are a lot of popular quizzes, you might need more takers to make it up top.

Don't know quite how to phrase this so that it will make sense but here goes... I write some quizzes that I am pretty sure will be more popular than others-that does not mean better. Wit only being able to have one quiz in the 30 most recent, try to space them so one in a more unpopular category-lets all face it TV, movies and sports are "IN" will not bump a more likely poplar one. Bigbird (Alice) is correct exposure means much. My problem with doing that is because of my terrible typing skills quizzes sometimes get sent back and that foils my strategy. lol If you can get one in the top 25 it will stay there for 10 days and your scores most likely will vastly improve. Hope some of this makes sense-Linda

It's amazing how much being in the top 25 does for your score. I agree that instead of getting 100 takers on a quiz it will be between 300 and 400.
Note that getting into the top 25 is based on the average rating of the quiz and number of takers. So a quiz with a high ar helps.
I've wondered if timing the acceptance of a quiz makes a difference. (Of course who can tell when a quiz will be approved). Is it best to have it hit just before the weekend?

Just before the weekend would probably be good. But I think Monday might be good as well (Have you ever looked at how many people were logged in on a Monday morning??). I think a lot of Sploofusers sploof at work. I have my first one ever up on the board at 24 right now. It just came on early today. The quiz was approved late Sunday night (late in the evening might be good as well since less quizzes seem to be getting approved then and your quiz would stay on the front page longer.) It had to be all the work Sploofusers that put it up on the board.
