AN ALL TIME LUNCH LOW

Okay. I work as a personal assistant and my office is in my boss's basement. The boss is out of the office today so I thought I'd treat myself to a nice relaxed lunch.

So I hopped in the car and drove to Arby's for one of their Chicken Natural, Chicken Bacon Swiss burgers. Let me add, that is the BEST meal on the planet!

Anyway, so I got back to the office, turned on some music, signed into Sploofus and began to enjoy my delicious burger.

While I was unwrapping the delectable chicken bacon swiss burger, I noticed that a small piece of the bacon fell off the wrapper and landed somewhere. Not wanting to let my workspace get messy, I rolled my chair back and began searching the floor for the rogue bacon bit. I took a big bite of my burger while my eyes scanned the floor. Then I saw it. I leaned down, grabbed the bacon and held it for a second while I finished chewing my first bite of food. As I began to examine the bacon closer I realized that it just didn't look quite like bacon.
Then it hit me...what I thought was the bacon that I dropped was actually a small, brown, shriveled, dead.....SPIDER!

I freaked and threw it in the trash, set my burger down and ran like a bat out of hell to the bathroom to wash my hands.
Oh my gosh, it was so gross...it even made a little crackly sound as I threw it in the trash. Thank god it didn't ruin my appetite.

The moral of today's story?
Thoroughly examine things before you pick them up!

Well........I ate Krispy Kreme donuts with ants
First I blew MOST of them off tho. Ants are protein-No?
Think I'd stop at spiders tho.
Nice descriptive post-this is why I miss TOTD.

Did the dead spider come out of your burger or did you just pick the wrong thing up off the floor?

Whoa yeah dont get the wrong impression. The spider did not fall out of the burger haha. I found the bacon about ten minutes later to the left of the filing cabinet.
It just sucks that I picked up a DEAD spider instead of bacon.

Rather pick up a spider in any state, than a snake.

Spiders creep me too. We were just traveling this past weekend from Michigan to Maryland and I spotted a little black type spider climbing around my window. I took a napkin to get it and it decided to jump - where it went I did not know - so as we are going down the road - I am having a fit about this spider - not knowing where it went - or my worst fear - it is crawling on ME. It wasn't until the next day that I discovered the spider over on Joel's side of the car on his window - he killed it and threw it away. I know I am a big sissy when it comes to spiders - but so are a lot of other people.

I'm a grown man,...at least physically, and my computer is located in our basement. I lost my den when my daughter was born 5 years ago. I mean, no-brainer, can't make a small child sleep in the basement. And it is fully finished, I could live down here.

About two weeks ago, an early Saturday morning, everyone asleep 'cept me. I start coffee and sneak downstairs to catch a few WR's and am doing okay. Suddenly, I have a decent round going, which for me means 22-25 seconds, and at about the 6th Q, a large spider comes dangling in front of my face. One of those almost invisible white ones. Game over.

I screamed, woke up the whole house, and spent the next hour making breakfast for everyone. Not too fond of spiders, and don't even get me started on snakes.

Yuckfully yours,
Tim

I hate spiders too - more afraid of them, I think, but since I live alone I'm a lot more braver!!LOL
Still can't stand the big ones.

*Snickering*
I am wondering how you would react to the 3~4' Huntsman spiders that are often on our walls here in Oz?

~Bev
PS: They are not considered harmful, BTW.
