I checked Google to see if it is backwards day in England, but came up empty. I found sites that sell backwards T-shirts, and school councils celebrating Backwards Day on every day of the year you can think of. But nothing special for May 17.

I did find that today is "Wear a Wig on Whisper Wednesday" at Johnsburg Central School in North Creek, NY but I doubt that this qualifies for anything.

17th of May is Norway's National Day - MORE INFO ON http://odin.dep.no/odin/engelsk/norway/history/032005-990492/index-dok000-b-n-a.html

Not htat I can see it has any link with writing backwards lol

Perhaps it is Justis birthday and he is a tad tipsy?
or just a really boring day and it has been put there to make us all puzzle over!

Maybe it's to see how many of us actually paid attention and noticed it.

May 17th was Ayatollah Khomeni's birthday -- many would regard him as bringing quite a bit of backwardness to Iran.

It is also the first anniversary of Frank Gorshin's death. A fine riddle, it would seem is upon us.

Maybe just like a 'War of the Worlds' thing. Throw it out there and see how the people react.

Did anyone look up to the sky? I live in Michigan, looked up and saw a strange yellow orb glowing brightly. Felt GREAT, but alas, the rain returns shortly. Me thinks someone messed up the calendar, and it's really April still.

Such is life,
Tim

Boy Tim do you have that right - it is 44 degrees here in Michigan on the 18th of May and of course that liquid stuff is coming down still here - when is it ever going to warm up - it seemed like April had the temps for May and May has the temps for April - what month is next - June or March???

For the sake of my sanity, I sure hope it's June.
2 reasons; 1, I work for the public schools, and am looking forward to only seeing the kids of friends and family for a while. And 2, I have a house rented on the beach in Folly Beach, SC starting July 1, and cannot wait to get there.

Would sure be nice to work on a base tan though, before I go down to fry.
