I am not one to remember whole paragraphs from books I have read or quote Dickens or Shakespeare but once in a while something will just strike me. I tend to be moved by words set to music, much more than just the printed word. That being said, I just finished reading "Cry, the Beloved Country" by Alan Paton -- which I recommend, btw. This line struck me
"It was simple food, but it was to be eaten together"
I won't wax poetic over why it struck me, but I was curious to what words have struck you?

Music can be found everywhere if you listen with your heart...this was on a sign I found at a yard sale...(I bought it by the way). I don't know who said it but it struck me as fitting as I love music so much...

In view of Justin's recent accident....I am reminded of
the words "Life is what happens when you're planning
something else...."

I'm betting - in varying degrees - we all plan our day
around one or two aspects of Sploofus.
All that satisfaction, emotion, and community for
around 20 cents per day....

"It wasn't only wickedness and scheming that made people unhappy, it was confusion and misunderstanding; above all, it was the failure to grasp the simple truth that other people are as real as you."

Ian McEwan -- Atonement

Well Smoke....
There's the Wicked and the Scheming - and
then there's the Confused and Misunderstood
And we could say "we are all just Human...."

BUT how do we tell the difference in these
troubled and difficult times???? And how do
we manage to take care of ourselves and our
Loved ones????
