Well, I don't think anyone can complain that this was a U.S. centric WP. I thought it very challenging and fair. Ever since Plats have had the ability to create WP's, I wondered if someone would do one incorporating a crossword puzzle style. And Smoke and Garrybl have done it! Hats off to you guys. I burned some letters because my brain refused to shift gears a couple of times, but I did increase my vocabulary!

I hear you, Pepperdoc, and concur . I had a terrible score, but the point is, it was fun, fair and challenging.

Sorry, Lynn. Great minds must have been posting at the same time.

Don't have a whiff of concentration at this time of night. Otherwise, I'm sure it would have been lovely

Two great minds = one great puzzle. Am sipping on a cold Dunkelweizen after that work out (and toasting you both)

I'm so relieved it's playing well and everyone likes it. I was afraid it would be brutally hard and you'd be lighting the torches and sharpening the pitchforks.

I must admit it's 95% Barry's, it was his concept and it could probably have run exactly the way he first sent it to me. I didn't want to say that if it wasn't well received, but considering the response I'm happy to thank Barry for letting me play a small part.

Glad people enjoyed them; Smoke underestimates her role in the puzzle though I admit the initial idea was mine.
I have not yet prepared any others along quite that lines but there will relatively soon be more WPs with a broadly similar idea --of starting from specified or unspecified letters to work out the clue to the phrase.

Watch this space!
