Of course, Congress will have to do it or we will defau-including the health care nightmarelt. No wonders lenders are nervous about giving us loans. http://www.foxbusiness.com/story/markets/economy/tarp-overseers-watch-small-banks-overall-economy/ folks better pay attention -TARP did not take the troubled assests offf the boooks of the banks which was supposed to be the purpose. Instead it was used for direct stimulus and an attempt to save the auto companies- what happens when "cash for clunker' money is gone? Are thed taxpayers going to fund this industry indefinitely? Ghietner really needs to go

Barry, he said he was bored and not running for re-election. I don't anything about him except that I think he is a former mayor down there.

Can it be coincidence in reviewing obituaries than nearly 15% of the world's most famous people have died on a Friday?
I think not.

15%?

1 in 7 is 14.2%.

Surely you must have been joking.

Bill Lumbergh: Oh, and remember: next Friday... is Hawaiian shirt day. So, you know, if you want to, go ahead and wear a Hawaiian shirt and jeans.

And of course THAT could lead to a case of the Mondays

Oh, 10-year deficit pushed up from $7 trillion to $9 trillion.

How timely.

I'm sure the Blue Dogs will love it.

Whoops! Another slip by the Obama administration. They let the fact that the fourth straight month of higher home sales since 2007, the stock market increase (checked your 401k lately? Much better), and the recall of thousands of auto and steel workers to their jobs, slip out on Friday. Their bad. Shoulda waited till Monday I guess.

We will have to see what the "talking heads" (thanks, Fudy, love that) say way smarter than I am. The 3 I heard at the end of Fox Special Report seem to think inflation inevitable, increase unease of countries like China to buy our debt, and a total money wrench on any major health reform But then you know those radical conservatives of Fox put the negative spin on all things Obama.

Yes, seems there was an attempt to somehow hide or overshadow it by the Bernake reapointment. The business folks are saying that the economy will have sort of a "W"shape. Question must surely be on reasonable people's minds if this WH can miscalulate this by such a huge number, how can anyone believe their numbers on anything? Some will though. Will be interesting which tack he takes on the health care-has had several-the "moral imperative" "cost saving" which the CBOhas clearly statedthe plans out there will not

Same people saying the same b---s---. Negativity and downward spiral and on and on etc etc etc. This is getting ridiculous, to pick and choose what you wish to hear, get a life.

Far more optimistic about the future than you Linda, sitting in your rocking chair. What do you do all day read right wing blogs, and hate on everything. You are a warped bitter woman, don't you have a life? I lived in Florida find some positive goals rather than posting on SD all day. In a little while I will be getting ready for work and I enjoy. I enjoy many of the benefits of sploofus. I don't enjoy negativity constantly. Oh what is the use.

I am not talking about who is right or wrong. You can be right all day and still find some positive aspects in the administration, in life, in sploofus in something. Hey have a good time on your honeymoon Andy, I really mean that. Let us all practice saying one positive thing to each other on SD everyday. Even people you disagree with.

Nope not bitter, just a realist about what is in store for my kids and grands. That makes me incredibly angry. Although my life has not always ben easy it has been good and continues to be filled with simple pleasures.

You have no idea about my life, Bobo, so please do not assume you do. Actually currently am doing work to promote the campaigns of a few folks who I believe might look out for the best interests of my kids and grands.one can never be sure. Walk the rather nice lakefront in the am and evening-am an avid reader not only of politics but good mystey stories s, love movies-have quite a collection-but basicaly prefre the older ones. Communicate with my kids dailysince I have discovered the wonder of the internet. Their time and both their finances and mine have cut down on face-to-face visits like we once had-Mi. and Fl far apart..That is just a few things i do eacjhday while I work on being warped and bitter. Quite aware the anger shows. It is real not "astroturf".

It certainly come through as anger and I feel your pain as well. You don't care for current policies and are voicing your opinion. You just can't cram it down peoples throat, other people have a right to theirs as well.

The difference is - what Linda says costs no one here anything.

What this administration is doing is costing us what may be - everything.

Policies crammed down our throats for 7 months now against our will (and apparently there are 10s of millions of us for whom it is against our will) which are bankrupting the country while we stand by helpless, watching the hopes and dreams of almost 240 years of patriots being tanked in a matter of months by an administration out of fiscal control, and the loss of every foundation upon which we believe this country was built and became great, tends to make one angry and bitter. And deeply sad to the core.

The good news today is Bernanke stays. Since President Obama’s inauguration the Dow has increased. At least there is good bi-partisanship between ONE Republican and the new President. The Great depression hasn't happened thanks to the leadership and advisers of President Obama.

Also, there is lots of bad news too coming from Fox (Faux) News. Maybe, I should say the same ole thing. Republicans are always lying and still saying “No” to everything President Obama. More lies and distortions always is bad news from Fox (Faux) News. , thanks Linda
*I just saw RNC chairman Michael “Hollow” Steele take back his statement from yesterday to not supporting healthcare today. Maybe he got a call from the titular head Rush Limbaugh.
*Fox is still lying about the booklet” Your life, Your Choices a.k.a. “The Death Panel.”
* Fox is today touting the lie the Obama administration is copying off the Republican Town Halls and their grassroots’ response…LoL Wasn’t it Fox Right Wingers especially QOTUS, Sarah Palin, who criticized the community organizer, President Obama?

*Ohhh, I almost forgot the “Hollow” Steel RNC chairman also says the president has not tried reaching out toward bi-partnership. How many times has the Republican leadership in collusion with Blue dogs said NO; I mean even to the point Grassely is talking about 80 votes for healthcare. That is so laughable the Republicans keep changing the goal line every time the president reaches out. The President has overreached that's why many in his base have become discontent.
The Bottom line is the Republicans are running scared because Democratics have reconciliation and we (US) will get Public Option.
