YUMMY RECIPES UNDER 200 CALORIES

Just saw these tried on The View and they got rave reviews for deliciousness from everyone.

They had a guacamole with half the calories cut out by being mixed with pureed baby peas! I'm trying it with the Boca cheeseburger quesadillas tonight; let you know how that goes.

I see there's the expected interest in low calorie tasty food.

Life got in the way of my dinner plans, but Friday night it's Boca cheeseburger wraps and guacamolpea.

Smoke, let me know how the guac goes with peas. I saw a similar meal on the Semi-Homemade show with Sandra Lee on the Food Network (I think the recipe is posted there). It sounded and looked really good.

I didn't see that, but I do get the Hungry Girl e-mailings. They come out daily on weekdays. Some are just really ads for low calorie products, but many are useful recipes that mimic high calorie ones. Now, I do need to say that I've never actually made any of them, but neither have I deleted them. And I did order a couple of things from links within the emails. All their recipes have Weight Watcher points indicated. If anyone wants the email, so they can subscribe, PM me with your email address, and I will forward one on to you.

Well, see, you don't know that, and Joy and Whoopi said it was great, so I'm gonna try it and I'll let you know.

Yes, I'm going to adulterate my legendary guac to remove half the calories.

I'm making a half-recipe the first time. Dunno how 8 servings of guacapea will go through dogs.

Hi you guys! If you run across any low-cal recipes that really *are* delicious, please share them here or PM me. I work with a lot of people who are trying to lose or maintain their weight.

And, sadly, I can't eat like I used to since I can't run like I used to, so I guess I'll have to start eating better too.

The guac was good! I used two avocados and a small can of peas, and you really can't taste them! We ate it all. I couldn't find Boca Burgers but we have another kind of veggie-soy burger available locally, and I used grated extra-sharp cheddar, baby portobellos and sweet onion, and they were tasty and filling. We dipped them in salsa. It was all quick and easy and we'd have it again.

I found the easiest way is to cut portion size by 1/4

Or we could just not eat at all.

Alice, I get the Hungry Girl e-mails every day also. It gives you great ideas how to swap out fattening foods. I lost weight a couple of years ago and it's hard work keeping it off! I need all the help I can get! Dottie's Weight Loss Zone is a good site also.

That guac recipe sounds good! I'll have to try it, thanks!
M.

Great! Let me know what you think, Maureen. Mine worked so well I'm going to try a few more peas next time. In a few weeks is the summer trivia tournament party, and I'm going to take a big bowl and see if anyone notices it's not the same.

I'm sure it would be smarter and better in every way to simply push my bulk away from the table sooner, but it's also pretty cool to go ahead and have a little more guac if I want to. I'm the one who squeegees the bowl with a finger.
