I haven't tried this ... yet ... cuz I gotta get down to the grocery story and buy a watermelon, but I can't WAIT to try it. I understand that you can add vodka if you want a cocktail ....

I have made watermelon juice before, strained it, and added some soda water (club soda) to give it some fizz.........very refreshing on a hot day!

I found a recipe for Mint Julep, and made the base yesterday.
You CAN add Bacardi or Bourbon, if you wanna.

Two packed cups of washed mint leaves.
Extra fresh young leaves for garnish.
A few thin slices of lime or lemon for garnish
One cup of sugar.
One cup of water.
One bottle of Club soda (Soda water)

Bring water and sugar to boil, lower heat and add mint leaves.
Simmer for 5 - 10 minutes, turn off heat and let cool. When cooled, strain off leaves and pour into a large jug, adding the bottle of Club Soda, lemon or lime slices, ice-cubes and fresh young mint leaves.
You can also add Bacardi or Bourbon if inclined.....!

Cheers Y'all!
