While visiting Disney World I noticed a large number of stores in the area advertising Sony products at big discounts. Has anybody dealt with any of those stores?

They are discount outlets...private. Notice the ones for perfume, cigarettes, etc. Hold onto your wallet, they get you in and then try to work you over.

Really don't know about these particular outlet stores, Saragon, lots here on brand name clothing. Florida is a "right to work" state which means they are not bound by union rules or wages. Think that might contibute to lower operating costs for business and perhaps cheaper items. Like I said not sure on these particular outlets but unions drive up costs on most things. Not knocking unions as was a member of the DFT for my working life but am a realist-union shops make items cost more. Check out what happened to the Big 3 and the legacy costs which made it impossible for them to compete with auto sales in "right to work" states. Things within Disney cost more and that might apply to the surrounding area Be a smart shopper.

I love shopping in the Orlando outlet malls. Sometimes, you can find some incredible bargains. We especially like Victoria's Secret, Chico's, Bath and Body Works, Forever 21 and lots of other clothing shops found in the mall at the end of International Drive near the Mall of Millenia.

However, the individual discount stores found around International Drive and the Disney area often sell knock-off and inferior items. I would avoid them. They are largely tourist traps.

Are you expected to bring gifts back for the in-laws at home? If so, hit the 3/$10 T-shirt places. Beats the heck out of $28 for a "This is what Grumpy looks like" shirt from inside Disney.

Here's a highly guarded Orlando secret...don't tell anybody!

The very best place to buy Disney souvenirs is in Orlando WalMarts. You pay about half of what you do at Disney for the exact same merchandise. Specifically, the Turkey Lake WalMart has a huge assortment of all things Disney. It's about a ten minute drive from the park area.

We took a trip to a Walmart and also to a Target. The shirts were a lot less expensive.
