How come, when I "press 1 for English", I get someone who can hardly speak the language?

One of the local funeral directors has started waving when he drives by the house. I have
mixed feelings about this.

Why are so many of the people in the food lines at big city missions overweight?

If you are the first car in the left turn lane would you please pull forward until the oncoming traffic clears
so someone else can make the turn also.

And when it's a non designated left lane would you put on your turn signal BEFORE traffic lines up behind you.

Is there a bigger jerk in Washington than John Edwards? (No, not B.O.)

To answer your last question, yes, probably.

The other day I walked past our local funeral home and the owner was out on the porch. We waved and he yelled "How ya doin'?"

Now I'm not sure if he was being friendly or expressing a professional interest. One of the problems of looking your age.

Poor people are fat these days cause fast food is the cheapest way to go. Other than that-yeah!
Why oh why don't they enforce the "keep right except to pass"? I go ballistic (well, I seethe) when people block the left hand lane. It's to make traffic run smoother, dagnabit! See, I learn a lot from Sploofus

We have "right on red" but why do they beep at me when I won't go "left on red"

If an octopus has eight 'legs' and is named that way because of that, then shouldn't a ten-'legged' squid be called a "decapus?"

While I'm on the theme, if we call the squid's 10 appendages 'tentacles,' shouldn't the octopus have "octacles?"

How many is a platy anyway?
