I just have to share this, I'm so excited!!

Rev. Larry M. Arrowwood, Pastor in Seymour, Indiana, and teacher at Indiana Bible College, has written other books both spiritual teaching books and novels, but his most recent release, "Bloodroot" has received critical acclaim. It may be made into a movie, but that has not been decided for sure.

On Facebook, there is a cause page to help laundh the book, and I'm going to copy and paste here:
Arrowood's book has just won publisher iUniverse's coveted Star Award making it available to all major bookstores, so, help get the word out to family and friends!

The description section says (again I copy and paste):

With the election of the first US African-american president Arrowood's book, Bloodroot, has a contrasting message to share. Wow! What a difference 50 years can make in a land of democratic ideals.

I am unabashedly proud to reccomend this book, as I have known Bro. Arrowood for over 25 years, have watched his life, seen his boys grow up and now minister in their own right! Also, he and his wife were both my instructors when I attended IBC.

But the book stands on it's owm merits as both a novel and a powerful message regarding racism which does, unfortunately, still exist in the world. It is availiable at Barnes and Noble and Books-a-Million - that much I know. I've been told that Barnes and Noble will gift wrap and ship it to my chosen designation, so I'm thinking "Christmas shopping" LOL.

His book, like his sermons, are easy to follow, but can deliver layers of thought-provoking messages. The book is not exactly light reading, and yet it is!

I hope this is not out of line with the purpose of this discussion group. If any of you do obtain a copy (don't be ashamed to ask your library to procure it for you...) please let me know what you thought!

This is the perfect place to share such information. Thanks for posting this, Nancy.

Hopefully, I can get a copy before too long.

I now (shamefully) have 5 books on my nightstand - each partially read.

I look forward to getting it and reading it. It will probably be sometime in the not-too-distant future, because I have some commitments to complete.
Thanks again,

If anyone does read this book, please let me know about it. I would be interested to know your opinions.
