The sun is shining, there is a cooling breeze through the trees, the faires have kissed the grass with dew, my family is alive and well, I have a job, Rhea County won in football last night, the band was awesome (as usual), and I have some of the greatest friends in the world. So much to be thankful for this beautiful Saturday morning...
May the Lord bless each and ever one of you today and always and know that I love ya all!

All is well in Kent; dry, mild and sunny. None of this has anything to do with imaginary friends of course.

Good Morning, Vickie, and all! Sun is shining here in West Tennessee, and all is well. We're due for some cool weather in the forecast, tomorrow in the upper 70's and 50's at night. Great weather.

Hope you and everyone has a great day, Vickie, and thanks for the upbeat greeting here early in the morning!!!

Tell me Vickie, do you still have mountains there? I did see the shuttle launch from my patio last night but it's not the same.

Vickie still has mountains. It's here in eastern Kentucky that they are trying to tear their mountain tops off to get to the seams of coal. But today, all is as nice as it is just to our south. The miners have taken the weekend off. Our three fat cats are stretching on the deck, and Samson the Yorkie has snuck in and eaten the food from MacGregor the Scottie's bowl. MacGregor will have his vengeance later. (Fuller story in Jank's "Advice" thread).

Life is good.

Beautiful sunny day here in southern Indiana. Thanks for the kind wishes, Vicky. Pay no attention to the occasional grumpy nitpicky responses. Whether one believes in God or gods or nothing at all, your kind intentions don't deserve to be sneered at like that.

When you come through Pound Gap from Virginia into Jenkins now, your first view is a strip mine. The cut through the mountain revealed some unique rock strata that now attracts geologists, but when you look the other direction, you see the open wounds of coal mining.

Its raining cats and dogs here in Ottawa. Must explain the cat meowing at my door. Wait, she is here every day. She knows we will give her shelter and food. Why her owners leave her out the majority of the time is beyond me. A de- clawed female cat should not be allowed to roam outside.
