My big honking Kershaw kitchen shears does a better job. Was waiting for them to take off a thumb with that steak knife!

I run the tip of a hot glue gun around them; that seems to work.

Who invented that crap? HATE IT. What is purpose?

To keep stuff from being tinkered with and broken before sale?

It's all the fault of those who shoplift out of packages that were easy to open. All must suffer for the acts of a few, but a company has to do what they can to protect themselves from theft.

Maybe, but it's easy enough to shove that package under a bulky jacket. Surely things wrapped in plastic are stolen all the time. Game controllers and cameras and such fragile electronic components would likely be tinkered with and poked at by curious and malicious fingers.

Both?
