It could have been 1 out 100.

I don't want to take anything away from the last 50 quizzes but Editors probably think that they are not good enough for the accolade!!!! It is as simple as that.

My last quiz was numbered 112,000 and change. I know it's not exact since many quizzes were pre-editors, but 1 in 50 would suggest that there are over 2,000 quizzes out there of that level of quality. That's quite a few. One of the reasons this site is so fun,

You have 40 EA's in only 118 quizzes. That's not remotely 1 in 50. Closer to 50%.

So you can't really say how fun it is to be the other 49.

Ken writes some pretty amazing quizzes.

So do a lot of people who don't get EA's.

I'm not knocking his EA's, I'm saying he's in no position to comment on how 1 in 50 is a great average.

Well, Ken can defend himself, I'm sure. But since he was a college professor, I'm guessing he knows a bit about averages and all that. If he tells me something about averages, math, computers, or anything in that field, I believe him. I'm sure he wasn't knocking any of your quizzes - just telling you that statistically, your averages are good.

I don't care about EA's - it doesn't make me take a quiz that doesn't interest me, so I don't understand the hype.

This has nothing to do with Ken, needing to defend Ken, Ken's EA's or Ken rocking. Hello?

(Though 58% EA's is funny). (And has to do with the point)

EAs are not about rewarding quantity but quality. However, recently EAs have been given to reward milestones such 50th or 100th quiz.

My posting had nothing to do with my quizzes and their fates. I was talking about the rest of the quizzes on this site. The ones *I* can take

And how lucky we are that there's so much good material out there.

Have you taken a look at the EA Leaderboard recently? There are 49 of us out there with 10 or more EAs. There are 427 of us who have received at least one.

I would certainly agree that I've taken a bunch of quizzes that I thought should have had EAs and did not. On the other hand, I've taken some with EAs and wondered why they got them.

But I think, on the whole, that the EAs do reflect the better written quizzes. That said, I still take the quizzes whose topics interest me - like all the food quizzes - whether or not they have EAs.

Well, this has been done to death, but I do think EA granting is way too lightning boltish. They selection process perhaps she be reviewed, maybe some sort of multiple approvals, or get two eyes on every quiz, at least, for nomination, or have users vote er sumpin....

Or do away with it so people will quit bitching about it.
