I play this game to author quizzes, primarily. Some of the quizzes zip through the 30 most recent in record time. This is no fault of the editors. The top 25 list drives me a bit crazy-have been there more the once- an the points accumulated are astounding. Some really great folks like Stakismom, redsox9, 1mks , and triumphant1 (sure I've missed some and I apologize) have taken the time to go back to older quizzes and play them and I do thank them. My quiz on Hitchcock's cameo roles had a 9 rating but played by so few. Not sure what my point is in this except you can find "good stuff" by going beyond the top 25 and 30 most recent. Don't anyone bother with the quizzes I created in 04 because they "STINK". Linda

I'll go back to member's older quizzes to take sometimes just to see the progress we've made here in improvement. I know because of editing, my quizzes are much better now than they used to be.

What I will do is click on a topic I like (usually Food) and go down to the bottom-most quiz that is visible; they date only back to August. I take that quiz, and then click on that person's name, and take any of their other quizzes that sound interesting. That way, you can get back to quizzes from 2004. Some of those people are no longer on Sploofus, but their quizzes remain. It's the only way to get back to the real oldies.

In general, I like to take people's quizzes from the older to the more recent - I keep worrying that Sploofus will ditch some of the oldest quizzes, and I want to make sure that I take them before they leave.

I also like to take the early quizzes of an author that I have just discovered so I don't miss out on their earlier good stuff!

I'm trying to go back and "fix" my older quizzes. It's alot of work but I can see my mistakes and I try not to repeat them on my newer quizzes...I'll probably get them all fixed and then they'll be deleted or something! LOL.....

Maybe players could appeal to the Sploofs-that-be for a category of quizzed called "Golden Oldies" consisting of older quizzes...

As member numbers keep growing they're apt not to have taken (or seen) several (most) of the quizzes from a year or two years ago. That way everybody wins: Old quizzes get a new life and New members get points for taking them.

Just a thought...

I love the idea of a "Golden Oldies" category! Maybe it could be a member-nominated sort of thing!

The Golden Oldies category sounds like an excellent idea. I'd love to see this come about.
