http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,549241,00.html this is just in the last 2 days. Fox did not make the video but are airing it. Noticed AP has picked up yesterday's video. This corrupt organization complete with taxpayer funding must be STOPPED!!

I will bite, it is a crazy video. However who set this up and why was it done. I don't understand? Yes under the context it was extremely illegal and I don't want my tax dollars going for helping in this way.

Any organization has corrupt people, churches, help groups, ballot machine makers, energy companies, Congress, military contractors...you name it. This one is being targeted because they backed Obama. Goes with the saying "One bad apple doesn't spoil the whole bunch". I wonder if there are any FOX stories about the good stuff they do?

Can't wait to hear the rest of this story.

ACORN has a very long history of corruption which many choose to ignore. In the past week or so there were 11 arrests of ACORN workers for fraudulent voter registration-one name use Paul Newman. If it takes one case at a time that will be the action. The scary part is the billions they are set to or have received in the stimulus mess. They MUST be investigated before they are allowed to participate in the collecting of info fr the 2010 census.

If they are arresting and firing the bad guys, how are they ignoring the corruption?

They are treating them as isolated incidents-the issue rests with people like Beck exposing the whole apple as rotten

There is no evidence the whole thing is rotten and until then they should be treated as individuals. Whole thing could be rotten, who knows....seen others that were a few years back.

Not sure it is even possible that every ACORN worker is corrupt. Do you or would you even want to live in the communities they are trying to help? I know I would love to get low cost housing but would not want to live in the neighborhoods where they have access to low cost mortgages.

I believe the man and woman asking for the loan and secretly filming the incident were reporters following up on tips. At least I think the woman was a reporter. Gosh, a reporter who actually does investigative journalism. They're becoming as extinct as the wooly mammoth.

They fired the two most recent disposable people but this needs to be done http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2009/09/10/klukowski-blackwell-acorn-investigate/
BTW this guy has now been reassigned after Beck made note of his phone call. He too though is just a disposable person in a bigger scam http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/09/11/nea-reassigns-communications-director-following-uproar-obama-initiative/

ACORN is a corrupt cancer that runs throughout the country and needs to be cut off as soon as possible. Any time you see something like this - remember it's just the tip of the iceberg - there's a huge corruption underneath that is the foundation of the entire organization.

In the words of the Carpenters - they've only just begun....to investigate this mess.

These people didn't hesitate or blink an eye against bringing in illegal alien 13-15 year old girls to be prostitutes. They were just there to help them!

A huge eye of the dragon is being poked out. This dragon is going down.

BTW - the Fox News some of you mock so viciously and call faux and accuse them of lying - they're the ones that broke this story.

Guess they're not ALL bad, huh?

On Special Report Nina Easton, a Democrat, said the next ACORN investigation should be their role in the collapse of the housing market-applying pressure to get loans for people who could not afford them or qualify for them. Of course, Beck got many kudos for doing vetting that should have been done by others.

I learned alot about acorns today.

"In some human cultures, acorns once constituted a dietary staple, though they are now generally considered a minor food with the exception of Native American and Korean cultures. In Korean culture, in particular, dotorimuk, acorn jelly and dotori gooksoo, acorn noodles are eaten by some on a daily basis."

Has anybody ever eaten an Acorn?

Interesting section on Native American resource management: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acorn

Acorns are similar in taste to I would imagine to hazelnuts. They look alike anyway!

Are they anything like Buckeyes? My mom told me they were poison much like this political cancer that has been taken out of participating in the census

There were some people roasting them on open fires on the street when I was in Istanbul a few years ago. Sold them in little brown paper bags. I too, was excited to try them. Edible, but not great.

Which part? Acorn behind the housing collapse? Acorn being a cancer on our society? Perhaps corrupt "Nutjobs" singularly or as a group being roasted inside or on an open fire. Pick one-either way ACORN the group is on its way out the door

Nope, just pressured banks to make unwise loans. As for JFK have always bought into the "grassy knoll" thing

Oh please! Like the banks didn't decide who gets loans? Had nothing to do with it? Poor little banks.

http://www.examiner.com/x-7812-DC-SCOTUS-Examiner~y2009m6d17-Obama-seeks-to-mandate-more-risky-lowincome-loans-by-banks my bedtime but if you take the time to Google you will find many examples.THe housig thing is just one among many. Now that this corruption on the videos has been brought into the sunlight, the investigation of many other things will get started. The US Census Bureau has already dropped the idea of them helping so they obviously smel the bad odor of the organization
