Does anyone else think that it would be nice to be able to send an instant "Thank You" to someone else?

Right now we can send a Congrats or a High Five, but those say 'good job,' not thanks.

Sending a hug, kiss, or wink is fine for those I've come to know, but a bit awkward for someone if I just enjoyed their quiz or comment and haven't even PMed them.

Being able to console someone is nice, but if you send this message to the loser of a showdown, it seems like gloating.

And even if I totally disagree with someone, I would hesitate to start something with a 'smack,' 'swirly,' or thrown pie.

In short (too late!) I'd like to see one of the confrontaional actions converted into a "Send a 'Thank You' to someone."

How do you feel?

I like it.

So you're saying a pie in the face isn't thanks enough? haha

The things we can "do" to someone are kinda lame. They need revamped badly.

1. Grab person by back of neck.
2. March person to toilet
3. Insert person's head into said toilet
4. Flush
5. Hair "swirls" with toilet water, hence the name
6. Rinse and repeat

Hmmm-- guess Chicago isn't that friendly of a place.

It would be nice to have a Thank you,but I do like some of the other ones that are on there,a pie,a slap, pinch and my all time favorite swirly, some one gave that to me,one day, then wrote and asked what it was, and I told her,she just put my head in the toilet and flushed. She wrote back and told me how sorry she was for doing it, and I told her, that's okay, sorry I smacked you in the back of the head,LOL!

Thank you is a wonderful suggestion. Someone sent me me a swirly, she thought it sounded cute, and then asked me what it was. I didn't have a clue!

I have two nephews who are entering high school this year. I called them aside like the uncle in "The Graduate" and said, "Boys, I have two words for you: Swirlies, and Wedgies."

Both activities are often used on geeky freshmen (which they are) by upperclassmen. A swirly: one or two bruisers hold the little guy upside down over a commode, flush, and lower the victim's head into the whirlpool.

A wedgie: You grab the victim's underwear waistband in the back, and yank upward quickly, thus wedging the garment... you get the idea. (May be done with male or female, but if a guy does it to a girl, he faces harassment charges. If a girl does it to a guy, he has serious trouble living it down)

An atomic wedgie: The waistband is yanked, as above, and pulled up and over the victim's head. Atomic wedgie victims rarely develop a deep voice.

I like the idea of a thank you - and I would also like one for waving at someone. Just gives an option for saying hello for no special reason.

And shouldn't there be an option to genuflect? I mean, how else are we to start a conversation with HRH?
