I saw no people of color in the March. Why do you suppose that is?

Also have you seen Joe Wilon's youtube video beggin for money. hasn't he gotten enough from the health care industry?

Wilson is getting lots of campaign contributions and many kudos for calling it like it is. Again would like to see Obama face his oppposition in a no holds barred confrontation like Gordon Brown does on a weekly basis instead of being treated with the dignity that Britian gives the Queen. Despite what Obama thinks and wants he was not elected King of the US

Beverly - you didn't see people of color in the march because you refuse to see them - they're everywhere. ESPECIALLY here in Texas.

Then why don't the TV cameras show them? Seriously, I've looking for days and haven't seen any yet except the guy who does the singing.

Well, that's funny. If you've been looking for days and the march only began today, maybe your eyes are tired.

Once again this the US not the UK. These actions are strictly against House Rules

That's because the Bus going to D.C.has been shown on FOX NATION everyday, all day, along with ACORN, Rev Wright, Bill Ayers, Cass Susstien you know , the usual suspects; and the Bus had no people of color shown. I was looking for diversity.

1 bus compared to tens of thousands of people. You can't judge a movement by one bus.

Every one of my African American friends is conservative and my close friend is a 9/12 member. He also wrote in Mike Huckaby's name in the election. My African-American band director has left our school now (so I'm not putting a name on him) but last November he announced he wouldn't be there during lunch because he was early voting. Some student said, voting for Obama? He turned as he walked out the door and said, "No way. I'm not voting for socialism. I'm voting for McCain."

I'm surrounded by very conservative African Americans who did not and never would vote for Obama.

You can look for the beautiful, colorful face my close friend in the Amarillo crowd, with many of his friends and family.

The six hundred dudes at the Million Man March were mostly the same color. Did that make their cause invalid? Bev, get off of the race thing. Please. If some a$$hole was orange and spending my kids future, I'd be against him, too. Also Bev, let's see if you can name one of BO's shortcomings? If you can't admit his maladministration has some failures, then you are supporting him only because of his race.

Speaking for my elf,

Felix

Felix., I can name many; but, before I do that, I'd like to point out the "Million Man March" had nothing to do with racism. It was a day of Atonement for African American Men to pledge they would do better for their women, self and family. I hope you agree that has nothing to do with race. I just noticed there were no people of color and wondered how others would respond. The people who are marching vehemently oppose the Obama administration and have said some very inflammatory things in regards to ethnicity of President Obama and his agenda.

*I don't think the President is showing signs of strength when he doesn't defend people in his Administration like a brilliant, young, Van Jones who has grassroots, true grass roots, not Astroturfer connections and other who are being targeted as Communist.

*I don't approve of the President's continuing a war in Afghanistan as the terrain is difficult , the culture is Islam, Bin laden is probably dead, and its wasted tax dollars

*I would like to see take a more positive stand towards gays.

*I would like to see the President not continuously bend over backwards for bi-partisanship when its obvious some Republicans want NO bi-partisan ship otherwise they would stop lying and delaying the bill and saying NO to every idea. Now they are talking about starting over...Please

I understand that the country is being divided by lies and falsehoods coming mainly from the legislators so; he is on a very delicate tightrope as we as a country have been fighting for healthcare for 60 years..

Today's rally has nothing to do with race either. So get a new cause to try an justify calling others racist.

Wasn't it you who said I was bringing race into it? I wanted to see people of color; thus far have seen none other than the entertainer.

If you're watching Fox coverage, several African-American 9-12 leaders were interviewed so far.

All I saw was Americans at a rally. You put a racist slant on every post. Why does it matter if people of color are there or not?

Then you refuse to see what is right in front of you, because diversity was all over the place. And I'm so grateful for every conservative of every color who has joined not only 9-12 but are rediscovering their conservative beliefs.

Exactly. It's hard to see diversity if you're not watching.

Or if you ARE watching when nothing's happening.

I think there is a time for big government, and a time for small government. I think he's generally going in the right direction in light of where we are at historically. However, even though I won't be attending or watching, I understand your perspective and can sympathize. I am glad you guys are doing something you are passionate about, and wish you all the best. Good luck.

Jeremy - if you truly believe there is a time for big government and a time for small government, then maybe you would consider that if this government takes over 20% of the nation's economy by socializing all health care, there will NEVER be a small government again. Ever.

Once again there is way to much misinformation about proposed health reform bill. The public option is a very ,SMALL. portion of it.

Bobo - Beverly has already written that the idea is to soon be total public and no private insurance. That is what Obama said a few years ago too. He's desperately just trying to get his foot in the door - and then he plans for the door to slam shut on any private insurance option at all. And the foundation for that is on page 16 of the House bill.

Once again you rant on, I read and watched the speech. He is NOT trying to put insurance companies out of business. You are such an alarmist. Hey its Saturday night go out and have fun, I have to work or I would be doing something else. Why do try and give out misinformation.

We've discussed this ad nauseum. READ THE BILL - page 16. It clearly says if you do not have insurance on the day the bill is signed, you will not be allowed to opt out of national health insurance. It also says if you have private insurance you can keep it - BUT if you ever decide to change companies, you will not be allowed to - you will be forced into the national health insurance. It's the easiest to read and understand page in the bill that I could find.

If telling the truth equals alarmist, you bet I'm an alarmist - no matter how we've tried to shine the light of truth on the bill, there are still those who just keep not telling the truth. I'll keep sounding the alarm of truth wherever I go.
