PUNNY WP

I'm predicting that there surely will NOT be any 5's on this one.

loved the puzzle and the one I wasted all my guesses on was the funniest!
Please post all the answers in due course.

Superb, a PROPER world puzzle. I was going pretty well until the last one, still enjoyed it all though.

Yes, this one was fun. I think I may have run into the tough one that Barry and Clevercloggs referred to--just couldn't grasp that one for the longest time. But it was worth it when I finally saw the light.

I took some risks ; concentrated with my evil "eye" [the good one] --but still saw a few "sorry" screens along the way.
That 's no fun but it was full of pun anyway.
Some cute ones- hope to see the entire list later.

Clever but aggravating. It was the first one that got me.

One took just about every letter in the alphabet, which was a bit frustrating. We thought none of them were particularly funny but they were extremely punny. Tough!!!

Great that you enjoyed it folks!
For the gluttons for punishment above, here is the full original revealed ...

does an airlines carry on rules mean you can take a dead bird
"Take a flyer"

does the smaller boll weevil of two become the lesser of two weevils
"A leetle beetle"

does ucla mean the fog has lifted
"Visionary"

a three legged dog in a saloon said i want the man who shot my paw
"Get shot of it"

can a buddhist transcend dental medication
"Brace yourself"

do women in middle age give men a pause
"Gap year"

is a will a dead giveaway
"Or you'll get billed?"

two silkworms racing could end up in a tie
"... or not"

if youre stuck with a debt cant you budge it
"Go figure"

does a trodden grape let out a little whine
"No bottle?"

the ucla clue was brilliant but I could not get the ucla reference for ever.
And I filled in the carryon clue without seeing the pun at all.

Very very clever -- more please!

The UCLA one would have been much easier had it been smog, rather than fog ...
