NEA

Beverly had posted on some thread which I cannot find that Beck had again lost his mind whhen he outed this http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/09/22/white-house-steps-prevent-nea-conference/ just saying backtracking bigtime. He did more on his show this afternoon. Some Buffy woman was the WH contact person who directed people to groups like ACORN. Valerie Jarrett was named as a big support person. Remember her as calling Barrack 'family' and the only one who interviewed the ow infamous Van Jones. More will be outed IMO

It sure is. I can't believe this nut-so propagandist, Glenn Beck wants to keep up this Communist/ socialist witch hunt and you people swallow it hunk, line and sinker. He is the worst of all tin-foil hatters.
Valerie Jarret is a fine woman and daughter in -law of Vernon Jarrett. Vernon Jarrett, her father-in-law, ; was a very esteemed African American journalist; who worked in newspaper, television and radio and was an influential commentator on race relations, politics, and African American history. Her husband was a medical doctor Vernon Jarrett established the Act-So awards for high students. What has Glenn beck done that has helped the children of America besides exposing them to march for potential violence, hate and xenophobia?

Is it so terrible because Valerie was born in Shiraz, Iran and her father was a pathologist and geneticist? Or that her mother was and educator who helped creates the Erikson Institute which was a Head Start program for little children? Or that she fluently speaks 3 languages Farsi, French, and English? Or that she once was on the Board of Trustees with Thomas G. Ayers?

Isn’t it also possible the Republicans who also sat on that board were terrorist or communists too?

One thing I now for sure and that is Glenn Beck didn’t earn a B.A. in Psychology from Stanford University or a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Michigan Law School. Glen Beck is a college dropout and one of the most accomplished, liars and fear mongers and water boys for Fox news. The Fox and Freaks Network should grant Glenn Beck a budget to get a reputable investigative agency.

Stay away from Glenn's board. I mean his blackboard. You and Linda need to be more objective and less subjective; in my opinion.

Once again this is a very disturbing story - an illegal effort to politicize the National Endowment for the Arts.

Some don't give a hoot about the law.

They are the same ones who support ACORN in spite of cancerous corruption.

Makes you wonder what kind of laws they're breaking in their own lives if such flagrant disregard for the law is excused.

Beverly seems to think that if she disses Beck it elevates this story to someting that smells OKAY including the people and groups involved - It does not ust like Van Jones still stinks.

JanK

Actually, I do care; although I know you don't believe me. No one is above the law. But it's not the biggest issue that is facing this country. Harry Reid told the diaper- wearing David Vittner yesterday funds were stopped, the Census bureau cut them off, and those who abused the system were fired... Enough!!!!! We have other important issues in this country to deal with like...

*War costs
*Environmental costs
*Health care
*A falling economic system
*Jobs

*The New York Times wrote about ACORN's successful campaign to save 5,881 rental units of working-class housing in Brooklyn

*The Las Vegas Review-Journal and Orlando Sentinel reported on ACORN's local voter registration drive.

*The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette recounted an ACORN demonstration at a local bank, with members blowing whistles and chanting Criminal offenders, predatory lenders.

*The Dallas Morning News reported on ACORN's campaign to expand health insurance in Texas, while dozens of papers highlighted ACORN's key role in a new national coalition of unions, consumer and religious groups to fight for universal health care.

*The New Orleans Times-Picayune described ACORN's ongoing work to rebuild homes in the Lower Ninth Ward neighborhood battered by Hurricane Katrina.

*The San Francisco Chronicle reported that Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed a bill pushed by ACORN that will help desperate California homeowners avoid foreclosures.

In 2005, ACORN did an analysis of how much money its activities had generated for low- and moderate-income households in the 10-year period from 1995 to 2004.

One should, of course, approach the findings of an internal report cautiously. But its methodology is transparent and sound. It counts, for example, only those campaigns in which it played the lead role.

Over 10 years, ACORN's direct services and local and state campaigns generated monetary benefits for lower-income households totaling some $15 billion, or $1.5 billion a year. This includes the impact of enacting living-wage or minimum-wage or predatory-lending ordinances or statutes.

The conclusion!
You cannot broad brush and ask for a Congressional investigation or call out the National Guard. I say investigate the prostitute and the pimp's questionable video. It's always the same scenario, stalkers, who are the same video crew edged on by FOX NEWS. Something is fishy. It's just a little too coincidental for 4 or 5 cities to have the same M.O. to me. And every one knows how Fox lies.

Please don't get me wrong I'm not defending ACORN's actions. Yes, there was impropriety; but all the nation wide offices; impossible?

ACORN has been a target of the right virtually since its founding. During the l980s and early 1990s, President George H.W. Bush's Department of Labor convened a grand jury to investigate Acorn’s relationship to the progressive labor union SEIU.

Republicans want to portray poor and moderate income people as sleaze bags. The real sleaze bags are the big corporations like Halliburton and the Iraqi war profiteers who took lots more money than ACORN. That is breathtaking!!!

I'm waiting for the predicted outcome of Acorn. More importantly, I’m waiting for the paramedics to take Glenn Beck out from his TV set in a straight jacket the next time he has a melt down when he goes through all of his emotions, including crying!

Your Valerie-Jarrett post is horrifying; I must admit. However, I can't honestly say that all blame lies on Valerie-Jarrett as many funds were cut pre and post 9-11 during the Bush years as they gave the money in tax cuts to the top1 % and spent billions of dollars on the Big Right LIE (Iraqi War). President Obama gave the campaign contributions back to Reskzo who is now in jail. During his first Illinois Senate campaign there was a rift between Bobby Rush and President Obama. So Bobby was able to turn a lot of people against President Obama. It was determined the affiliation that the President was not criminal. If, you can think back to the campaign days, you may remember Rezkzo, Ayers, Rev Wright, etc. were daily consumptions for Fox News in those days; so perhaps you can see where I'm going with this. I hope..

I do feel comfortable in saying big acidic mouth Michele Malkin's book is probably like the guy who wrote that book swiftboating Obama. You may remember the "Fight the Smears" website John Kerry set up because he was determined the swift boater's wouldn't do the same to the President. That author, I can't remember his name, got most of the pages for his book from chain e-mails; probably Michele has done the same thing. I don't know Valerie personally; however, I suspect this story seems to be exaggerated as on one of the pages Valerie stated they could not even buy steel wool for the property.

Regarding you last Fox post about Czar Carol Browner it said... Sen. David Vitter of Louisiana has introduced an amendment (SA 2440) to the Department of the Interior appropriations bill that prohibits any federal funding for Browner’s policy directives. Any senator who votes against it is voting to support not just Carol Browner, but also her vast regulatory power grab and the president’s system of unaccountable czars.
*******************************************************************************************************************
Well, that adulterer and diaper wearer has a lot of nerve.

“Late Monday night, the New Orleans Times-Picayune released a story noting that Vitter has "endorsed a new study from a conservative think tank that calls for scrapping the nation's employer-based health insurance system."

If Vitter's plan were instituted, almost 2 million Louisianans would be thrown off their existing health care plan and forced to buy insurance on their own. How can David Vitter justify putting that additional financial burden on working families, especially during these tough economic times?”

Beverly - even the mafia has to launder money somewhere. Of course you can search diligently through ACORN and find something they had to do to help someone to hide the corruption.

Open the books. Shine the light of truth. The roaches will go scurrying.

The mafia is Acorn? LOL... Where are all the billions of tax dollars that disappeared from Haliburton and KBR? Mafioso like Haliburton and KBR have squashed you like a cockroach beneath them.

Don't try to portray poor and middle income people as mafia, criminals and prostitutes. Otherwise the few millions of Acorn dollars; not billions, like the Haliburton and KBR money launders will shock you when they are investigated and the book gets thrown at your beloved Tax cheats .

Are you putting the bible down to fight the weaker. How animalistic that is! But the South is pretty guilty of that. Since you want to sling fighting words allow me to say in you case, I understand the animalistic attack. It is a regional attitude the South is accused of. Don't feel bad they accuse us Chicagoans of being corrupt gangsters.

You Southerns even have a cane beating in your history. Poor Joe Wilson, he knew better; I hope.
