UPDATE ON MY DAUGHTER

She's still in isolation because of her mrsa infection. I don't know if I want to blame the sloppy staff or her weakened immune system. She 's still a on the ventilator. I found out how she gets out of her restraints. Since she has long fingernails she takes her thumbnails and fore finger nails when she restless and fidgets with the velcro until it comes apart. I said to her so that's how you do it. She looked at me with those semi smiling eyes. At least it gives her something to do.
Other than that exciting part of her hospital stay, she's stable and day to day. I don't know when she'll be eligible for being taken off the ventilator.

Hoping for the best for you and her. Once they get the right antibiotics going, things should start to go better.

Pretty clever of your daughter on getting out of the restraints. That's a good sign that she may be getting stronger. You and your daughter are in my thoughts and prayers.

So sorry she is so ill, but if she is well enough to pull at restraints that is a good sign. I will say a prayer for her and best wishes for speedy recovery. Love Steph

My daughter, Jamie, is off the ventilator. If she does well, she should be home in a couple of days. I am so happy. I was really worried about her. She told me she thought she was hallucinating or dreaming that I had been coming to see and that every time she would wake she'd see me. She said in her dreams she didn't want me leave. Tomorrow she wants me to bring her a candy bar.

Thanks everyone for all the good wishes and prayers
Beverly

I didn't have to visit the hospital today. My daughter is home and breathing on her own. She is also acting like a spoiled brat.
