Because I knew I had inadequate subject-matter knowlege for the 9-15 Word Puzzle, I simply loaded in the letters rapidly.

Doing this yielded me 630 points for 77 moves in 401.8 seconds. I presume, even if I get Zero additional points in the final end-of-puzzle tabulation, my aggregate 630 points will be about the same as the aggregate # of points I received on an all-time-high Word Puzzle for me where I finished ranked 7th overall.

Yet, the instructions still say the objective is to solve the Puzzle in the least # of moves. I wish that were the case, as that is what makes the Word Puzzle fun. But, it obviously isn't.

At one time there was a proposal for a system whereby everyone starts with a bank of points and deductions are made for each wrong guess. Then the best score with time as a tiebreakers got the bonus points added on...I haven't heard anymore about it.

Tonights wordpuzzle (9-15) was not what I had expected - we were going in one direction when in fact it was in another - why can't sploofus be a little bit more specific with their subjects. Tonight wasn't the only one like that either.

It is only misleading if the only reason you take a quiz is to get the maximum amount of points. If you take it for the challenge, then the instructions are perfectly correct.
