HUMBLE OBAMA GIVES PRIZE MONEY TO CHARITY

http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5iQDGUso0g6mGJtgN2bKSDkvHf2oQD9B7NKB81

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs says it's likely that more than one charity will share the win.

Is that your favorite charity. Remember they can register lots of voters for your highly anticipated 2010 election . Be careful for what you wish.

And why would you deem it necessary to threaten?

I think there are so many who will vote conservative in 2010 not even ACORN or anyone else can corrupt or falsify the election. This time it won't just be black panthers with clubs watching.

A few years ago Obama made the biggest donation of his life to date, $26 large to Reverend Jeremiah Wright. Maybe he'll kick the Rev some more.

The Rev is living quite well at his multi thousand home in the burbs, Smaug. Plus he has a book out and gets honorarium from speaking engagements.

I hope someday someone will explain to me
the animus towards Rev. Wright.

I don't see his racism as that much different
than anyone else's. African-Americans aren't
allowed to be angry?

I don't think the animus against Rev. Wright actually has anything to do with him.

It has to do with his most famous parishioner, sitting under that kind of racist rhetoric for 20 years, then denying he ever heard it, much less agrees with it.

Unless, you attended the sermons you can't say he denied the hate. One sermon out of how many? What was denied/debunked was some wacko News Max blogger, who said he sat next to the President that day. The, then candidate Obama, was at a rally that day. "Liar Pants on Fire".

I don't believe anyone spews that kind of hate just once in 20 years. That kind of hate is a tendril that raps itself around his very being and is part of all he says and does.

There are lots of tendrils of hate that get wrapped around people on any number of issues, he is not alone.

Did you grow up black in the South during the '30s and '40s? I sure would be angry.

Bobo - you're right. But nobody asked about other people - Foogs specifically asked about Rev. Wright.

You sure know to demean a conversation with your conflations. But, if you check it out, many people don't like it that the President lets the fringe lunatics, attack him with the most horrible, ugly tendrils of hatred like hateful signs, lies, and guns . They want him to hit 'em back, Instead he gives an olive branch just about every time! Certainly that is not a tendril of hatred. I would suggest you wrap yourself in the truth.

What??? you looked up the things the President has contributed and still can't accept it. Sounds like a Glenn Beck-istan moment to me. He did acomplish things including being nominated the president of the US, has kept you safe, and won a Nobel Peace prize.
You win because you hate it.
I suggest a little conflict resolution for you.

I guess in your dictionary anyone who disagrees with you is demeaning a conversation. Ok.

No, only when they conflate. I believe it was you who said if you tell a lie long enough it becomes true or something to that effect.

Foogs:
"I hope someday someone will explain to me the animus towards Rev. Wright. I don't see his racism as that much different than anyone else's. African-Americans aren't allowed to be angry?"

Wright is a pastor in a United Church of Christ. I was raised in the UCC. I know the words that came out of his mouth were not part of the UCC ministry.

The basic tenets of the UCC are loving one another, compassion, forgiveness and inclusion of all ages, lifestyles, races and all Christian beliefs.

If you look for it, everyone can come up with a "right" to be angry - African-Americans, fat people, homosexuals, Native Americans, little people - you name an individual and a category you can place them in, and you can come up with a reason for them to be angry. But what on earth does it solve? Why throw fuel of hatred onto the smoldering anger? Why not - if you are a man of God - encourage compassion?

If you want to talk about a group of people who have a right to be angry, consider the Native Americans. Or look up the story of Ben Kuroki, the first Nisei war hero who flew 30 missions in Europe as a tailgunner and top turret gunner aboard a B-24 plane. He was born and raised near where I now live.

Read about the hate and prejudice he had to tolerate. But he took that hate and prejudice and used it to carry him to greater heights. But never to damn America.
