Hi all .. I think I screwed up. I did a trivia quiz and missed an answer, because the right one wasnt there. But i emailed the person and gave them the right info . Is that wrong. I was nice about it ..

I got a message this morning about a misspelling in one of my quizzes. The person was quite polite about it, so I corrected the error, and replied with thanks.
I cannot see anyone being offended if you are polite when you point out mistakes.

Cheers, Bev

Well, I won't mention any names.
But someone is being quite rude at my attempts to explain that 4 million x 3 million is not 12 million ..........

The old teacher in me insists on writing notes about quiz errors to constructors after I take their quizzes. I do it nicely, and sometimes get a nice thank you note back. Generally, I get no answer at all, and since we cannot look at a quiz again, I cannot check to see if the error has ever been corrected. I always explain that I know that you can go back and edit your own stuff cause I do it to my own quizzes all the time.

I like it when people point out things about my quizzes that I can go back and correct. As long as they are nice about it and all....Then there are those who can be rude and down right nasty about it. those I'd like to take out and hit over the head with a two by four! As long as you do it in a nice and friendly way no one should get upset or anything....

I think if someone points out a mistake and they are nice about it then there isn't a problem with it. If they are rude I would probably send a message back asking them not to be rude (fortunately that has never happened to me).

I've had maybe (3) or (4) respond to one of my quizzes, stating a problem in a nice friendly way, and I'm glad to know about it and check it out and go back in and edit the quiz. I've had one who was outright rude, which actually turns you off to the fact, and makes you doubt their credibility and you wonder if they've ever written a quiz or had an error. My advise to anyone is if you find an error that you're sure about, most people will be more than glad to correct it, if you let them know in a mannerly polite way. None of this rude, hateful, how could you not know this? attitude. Those people could use a lesson in manners.

I never mind someone telling me there is a mistake or something, I would rather have my quiz right( as long as they are polite )!! Also, Surreyman, it took me a few minutes to figure out your math question, but i finally got it and was able to explain it to my mom

I appreciate it when someone points out the errors in one of my's better than making you look like a dum dum forever! The rudeness, however...that's another matter. Just take your lumps - there's all kinds out there.
