Haven't we all done that at some time or another????
I have pulled one of the multiple cords hanging from the Fan,
and then stuck my arm in the blades, to see if it's slowing down.

Every time I hear a story of a ceiling fan accident, it reminds me of a story I heard on the old Paul Harvey radio show.

A neighbor called 911 when she heard screams coming from the house next door. When police and EMTs arrived, they found the wife of the house in an upstairs bedroom, stretched out on the bed, handcuffed to the bedposts in a spread-eagle position, stark naked. Unhurt.

Her husband was on the floor halfway between the foot of the bed and a low dresser, unconscious, bleeding from a head wound, wearing only a Batman mask and cape.

The ceiling fan above the foot of the bed was running. Wobbling. With a broken fan blade.
