most enjoyable...but in my last I got a double whammy for a word with three alternatives even when I'd filled in half the letters. Two pink screens later I still thought my original answer was way better.

We thought this was terribly clever. Barry - no pink screens for us but sure could have been. Normally don't like short WPs but this was grand.

I love the short ones, and this one was very clever, but it sure wasn't a piece of cake. Managed to get one with no letters, but misguessed two letters and had one pink screen on the others before it was all done. I jumped into it thinking someone would pull off a magic 5, but it definitely wasn't that easy.

Oy. Didn't know two of my people which made the whole thing a struggle. Why was I doing so well when we weren't getting points, and I've sucked since they started back?

I don't usually do this type of puzzle very well, but every dog has his day.

Short and sweet. Thank you.

It was ?A?A?E??

I knew it was a pepper. Can you blame me for guessing Jalapeno, then Halapeno?

Stinking Habanero!!

You can blame yourself for Halapeno.

But somehow in the same position I didn't even consider Jalapeno.

I don't think we say Jalapeno pepper. We just say Jalapeno.

We do say Habanero pepper though.

Anyway Claude was from Florida and it's very hot there. Hence Habanero.
