HALLOWEEN COSTUMES

If you take a look at my profile, you can see what my adorable grandson asked his grammy to make for Halloween a couple of years ago. His taste has matured somewhat.....

I think I'll pass on this one.

Our daughter is a theater major and is currently part of the local zoo's Halloween themed program. She said a little boy came through the other night, dressed as Carl, the little old man from the animated movie, "UP." In the movie, the man uses balloons to float his house to the Amazon region, where his late wife always wanted to live. If you haven't seen it, the costume description won't make as much sense.

She said he had a gray wig, a walker with tennis balls on the feet, an old man's suit, complete with the bottle-cap badge Carl's wife made him, and he had a cardboard house tethered behind him, held aloft by helium balloons.

Here's a clip from the film: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ksonXnMiUXI&NR=1

Michael. That sounds adorable! And do-able too! I don't think Shorty's gonna go for it though...

We are throwing a big Halloween bash this year for my jr. high kids. They have created devil and fairy costumes. Scott thinks he will be a gladiator and I'll go with my old Stevie Nicks standby, although my kids think its dumb because no one will know who I am.

My son, who is 20, is going as the "Sham WOW!" guy. He is an odd child.
My favorite Halloween was in nursing school, there were 11 of us, on one floor -- we went as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.... and the witch, and the poison apple, and the Prince. It was SO much fun.

Nathan is on the far right doing his best Gene Simmons. They had their pictures taken so much, you would have thought they were really rock stars. What a great night these little guys had!
