It is ALMOST okay if you come here only to post on the threads, but playing the games are darn near impossible.

Does Justin do refunds?

So why not just do TQOTD and post to selected threads for a while and maybe everything will calm down.

Stay tuned.

File a support ticket, Marsha. You'll get your points.

I agree, I am spending most of my time on Facebook!

Facebook has its annoying moments too. I hate its new format.

At least on Sploofus you can write support tickets that are read by editors and forwarded to Justin. It's nearly impossible to find any way to complain on Facebook.

While you can connect with old friends on FB, there is never quite the depth to the relationships as those that are formed on Sploofus.

I enjoy FB but I enjoy the people on Sploofus too. The quizzes on Sploofus are way above the quality of the quizzes on FB. So each has its good and bad points.

I keep thinking that one of these days Sploofus will rise to its former glory. I want to stick around and be part of that excitement.

I certainly agree about hating FB's new format. But I guess I shouldn't add to the list here.

(But I'm a farming machine there - my newest game passion. It's like being a designer/landscaper - and I very seldom kill the plants! ha)

I just couldn't get into Farmville, too much like work. Bejeweled is more my style, no thought process. I guess my life is too stressful right now (wah...).

I do tqotd and the wp, though I don't get to do every one. I read some of T.T but it bums me out, very bloody.

This too shall pass, I hope...

I'm not so hot on Farmville- it's ok, but....Farm Town? Totally into it.

I gave up WPs for the most part last month. I started Sploofus because of the WPs, so I guess it only makes sense that it is what I've burned out on first.

I'm on Farm Town and Farmville- I goofed by signing up for both.
I'm a lousy farmer. Just no fun there anymore.
My crops are crap. My trees have "ring worms" inside their trunks.
My animals ?--------- my sheep aren't shear joys ; my pigs are oinkers; my horse's whinny seems whiny;
My tractor has no traction. My hired farm hand- probably migrates away from his duties.
My grass is not green. Those wild-wood weeds --- what are they? - they smell funny.

So stop complaining. One other thing- Jank0614 is my neighbor.
Well maybe then, I should complain

But my farm does smell good- come to think of it.

But does he share the fruit with me?

What is the difference between Farm Town and Farmville?

Jank0614  (Level: 67.1 - Posts: 4593)

Farm Ville is a bit more coloring book, and what you can do there is much more limited.

Farm Town has much more developed graphics, you hire others to work for you (which makes you more points or money), or you can hire out to work for them, to make points or money.

You can have a much larger farm and you can do a lot more with it decorating.

Anybody want to be my neighbor on Farm Town?

I need a few more "influential" neighbors so I can sell stuff at the market. .
I have too many trees!
Jank0614 is a neighbor,but she isn't influential enough.
However she has a very pretty farm.

I wouldn't be too hurt if they foreclosed on mine

You can hide your trees if they bother you.

But if you'll harvest them every few days you can sell the fruit and reach the level where you can sell them.

(At that level you can just send them as gifts to others, too)

Check out the multiple applications- and look for Farm Town

In Farmtown, is it timed like Farmville? Every time I planted some darn thing, it burned up up because I didn't harvest it in a timely manner. Man oh man, that was no fun for me. I haven't visited in two months, who knows what it looks like! Squatters may have taken over!

I still like the WP's, but I'm not doing the WR's and WM's hardly at all anymore. No reason, just not doing them.

I still feel tied to this site, way more than Facebook.

I will be a friend on facebook, think the farm town thing is stupid though and a waste of time. Just my opinion. I just didn't get into the quizzes or games on facebook as yet. I don't need more computer games to keep me busy! Sploofus is enough, my family teases me all the time!

Yes, as far as I can tell, all applications on Facebook are timed. Trees, for some reason, on both Ville and Town are eternal! They said they may change that someday, but lots of people like the look of the trees with fruit, so I'm guessing they won't change it.

The secret is in choosing what you plant. If you like to hang around more than once a day, choose a crop that ripens in a shorter time. Some crops ripen in 4 hours, 8 hours, 12 hours, 1, 2,3 or 4 days. That way you don't waste the crops. But these games are definitely only for people who can visit pretty often.

I love them. Every morning I send a "gift" to everyone on my friend list who plays the games (unfortunately, Town limits you to 12 people to gift). I try to "tend" my neighbors' farms every few days, though you can do that every day for more points if you have time.

When my daughter-in-law had her surgery and was forced to stay pretty inactive, she kept her sanity playing those games, and also discovered Island Paradise, Lil Farm Life, and Cafe World. I joined those because she gets to go to higher levels the more "neighbors" she has.

I like to have Island Paradise up on my computer just to listen to the ocean sounds..... hey, it's too bad Justin didn't make than an option here on the island - ocean sounds!

I love these games because it's a chance for creativity - creating beauty, which to me is always fun. They give me a different perspective and allow me to play around with different landscaping that I might use in my own real life yard - just a Sims game of a sort.

Though they may not be willing to admit it here, there are several Sploofusers playing some or all of those apps. Several of my students play and have become my neighbors there. They really light up that we have something in common to discuss away from orchestra.

I must be in the minority - I think Farmville is the best of the farms. I haven't gotten into any of the other things like fish tank or cafe, etc. I have the other farms but I don't visit them very often. I spend enough time on the Internet with Sploofus and FarmVille.

I started a farm on one of those applications about a year ago. Spent an afternoon at it and never went back. Did the same thing with Mafia Wars.

So, what am I addicted to on Facebook? Spot the Difference! I could sit here all day trying to raise my score.

I am quite relieved, however, that the educational consulting agency I work for just found me another school in need of science mentoring - I was in danger of becoming literally glued to the computer seat. I'm a total addict, and could easily sit here all day.

I have spot the difference books! I'll have to look for that. I'm hooked on the mindlessness of Bejeweled Blitz, continually trying to get a higher score.

I just couldn't get into the "zone" of Farmville. Has anyone done the Social Interview questions yet? They're a hoot. You can be silly or serious. The questions are pretty random.
