GEEKY BIRTHDAY QUESTION

I was born mid-afternoon in the United States. That means that should I travel to India, the Far East, Down Under or something, I'd be in a place where by their reckoning I was born the next day. If while there I filled out documents requiring my date of birth, which date should I use? What if I move there and get a driver's license? Or if I just want to have a party?

Has anybody considered this kind of thing?

Not joking at all. Your birthday is supposed to celebrate the completion of another year since the time you were born. But when according to the time zone you're now in, the moment you were born was on a different day, shouldn't that mean something?

ok well the way I look at it the day of your birth is the day of your birth...actually I was born in England and a few years back Iwas in Australia for my birthday...i still celebrated it on the calendar day aussie time...I really don't see that where you are makes a difference but that's just my opinion

I get you, Ken. That time zone stuff confuses the heck out of me. For instance, my daughter is coming home for the holidays from Sweden. We know it's a 12 hour flight from here to there, but coming back? What happens when she crosses the International Dateline? Gain an hour? Lose an hour?
