I have moved and am having a problem with Comcast hooking up a Mac, so am using my old laptop and it's really bad. If I can do a quiz or WR in under 60 seconds, I'm lucky. I can't use keyboard at all. So until I get my Mac figured out, I can't do much. I wanted to say tho' to all of you who take my quizzes and are kind enough to comment, I receive your comments and I appreciate them. You have taught me how nice it is to take a quiz and let that person know their hard work was appreciated by sending them even a brief thanks. I can't do that right now with my computer, (am using mom's right now).
For my last 2 quizzes I put FITB, when actually they're not. The Sploofus Editors were kind and generous by letting them go anyway. They suggested I could go back in and adjust them even tho' they're already live which I will do when my computer is up and running. I thank everyone for their patience. I don't mind when you laugh when my word rounds are over 100 seconds! Happy Sploofusing TO ALL!!! Swiper won't be swiping anything for awhile but I still have fun.!

Good luck, Swiper! Hope you can get everything hooked up and working.

Last time I tried to deal with Comcast they wondered why I wanted to connect a hamburger or raincoat on high-speed cable.

Find a techie at Comcast who knows what a Mac is and hopefully you can get up and cruising!

We eat Macintoshs in Michigan. Nice, tart apples, they are.

I'm more of a Fuji apple fan, myself. Macs are great for computing too, esp when you've been poisoned by a PC virus one too many times.

Don't you go making fun of our Macs! I've been on a Mac since the little guy rolled off the assembly line in 1984. I also have to use a PC for work, but for everything else - I wouldn't trade my Mac!

Actually, I wish I had one of each. When you get into the guts of the system, PCs are way ahead in number crunching and organizing because they "see" things as data. In some of my work, crunching, organizing databases and composing articles, PC is the only way to fly. But with the desktop publish part of the job, I wish I had a MAC because it "sees" everything as a graphic and can do wonders in that regard that PCs are not on the same page.

My first Mac was a Mac IIci - **sigh!** - beautiful machine. Latest Mac is a 6100, with the subwoofer in the box (old now).

When I called Comcast it took a while to find someone who knew what a Macintosh was.

I went to the Dark Side in 2000 after Microsoft had polluted XML and the internet with programs to create Web sites that did not work in Netscape, and AOL had bought Netscape but bundled IE in its I-know-what's-best-for-you software, and Bill had ripped off enough graphics stuff from Steve to make the PC screen look like more than a fuzzy picture. Mozilla's software was not sophisticated enough back then to be useful.

Stand by your Macs! That's cool. Meanwhile, I will continue to be on the defensive on my PC for harmful pollution and just live with it.

I had a Mac once. I had to call in and old priest and a young priest but they still couldn't exercise the demons inside.

Ever see a computer that could turn its monitor all the way around? Creepy.

Demons need exercise??? Better call in Jack LaLane and Richard Simmons. Must be eating too much Devil's Food cake, Underwood Ham and Deviled eggs

Macs are great! We have one at home, and I have both Mac and PC at work. Also have Comcast and have never had a problem. Keep up the good work, Swiper!
