I wish more people would try this. Maybe, just maybe, we could learn to appreciate each others differences instead of their faults.

It's amazing when you see something like this how often you think of a teacher who made a big impact on your life. I had lunch today with a professor who taught a class I took in the spring. She's fairly new to teaching and asked for honest feedback on how she could improve. I told her how much she inspired the class and got us to thinking about things outside ourselves. She is a kind human being and ironically spoke of how kind her dean is - who is open to diversity, listens and encourages. Sounds like he was a good teacher, too.
