Entertaining for sure.

However, either I drew the toughest phrases or this was exceptionally trivial

Especially when one gets the idea in two letters and then needs four more to unearth an improbable 4-letter word.

I wasn't born yet!
1948 was another excursion into the time-line of history and trivia.
It's good to know history.

I had been born then I always enjoy these puzzles. It is important to look back and see where we have been. That is what history is all about.

I think one of mine had an incorrect clue, unless the author really finds the writing of *Nineteen Eighty-Four* to be truly trivial.

That puzzle might also have held the four-letter word Collioure referenced, or at least a toughie ("bulk").

I thought "most of" would have been more appropriate.
