Any amazing deals to boast of, of horror stories to share?

We decided to skip the madness and sleep in. I'm the first one up, just trying to decide whether to put coffee on or go back to bed.

Bed it is.

Bed for me, and John has to work today.

I can't remember the last time I went into a store on this day. Between the internet and gifts I make myself or find in July and save for Christmas, I hardly do any holiday shopping in stores.

Just came back went with my daughter. We have kiddies to buy for, got up at 4:00 am went to target and walmart and got some great deals. We researched ahead of time though and had a list. It was INSANE, at 4:45 there was a line 2 blocks long outside of target. We had fun and I am almost done shopping for Xmas. Merry merry.

I'm with Donna, definitely. I've been doing my Christmas shopping for my grandson since the after-Christmas sales last year. I mostly shop online now for anything else. Any in-store shopping for my son and DIL is mostly done at Office Depot and a saddle shop in a tiny, very country town not far from here.

I pretty much hate shopping any time of the year, so today is a normal day for me!

Went to Tim Horton's for coffee at 7AM, drove by the Mall and thanked God for UPS and FedEx.

Good for you Bobo, braving the madness! I hit the stores late in the season filling in what I didn't buy online.

I overheard a woman at the P.O. say that she went to three malls this AM and her Christmas shopping is done. That's guts!

I do most of my Christmas shopping online, mainly through Amazon. I'm a prime member so I can ship my gifts, 2nd day air, for free. For a minimal charge, they also gift wrap. No lines for me. Not even at UPS & Fedex. I'm also sending cougar gold cheese to lots of recipients, but again, they box, wrap, & ship. Perfect.

I love Black Friday shopping but missed it this year for the first time in several as we were visiting my folks out of town.
Actually did a lot of shopping last weekend and Monday and got nearly everything done - the bargains were pretty good.

First time I ever did it, I would do it again you just can't beat some of the bargains and I think you miss out on some of the spirit and fun when you just do online or catalog shopping. Anyway xmas season is now officially on.

I don't ever go Black Friday shopping. This time we decided to hit up Toys r us/Babies r Us which happened to open at midnight in my area for black friday. Unfortunately, because of work I couldn't get there until almost midnight. We brought our daughter and it was kind of cold, so we decided the wait wasn't worth it. The line stood about four abreast, wrapped around the front, side, and past two more buildings, of which we happened to be at the end of. When they did open at midnight, they barely let anybody in the store, maybe 30 at a time. We stayed about 30 minutes past opening and the line barely moved, so we decided no bargain was worth that kind of wait and went home. Then I slept in.

I'm with you, Jeremy. I'd rather pay double than deal with that fiasco.

I totally take advantage of Black Friday by staying home and playing radio trivia. All the other folks are out shopping so I get those phone lines all to myself. This year it was totally worth it because I won a trip to Mexico! Anyone ever been to the Maya Riviera?

Wow, wish they had something like that around here. How do you get in on radio trivia?
