JUST AN FYI

To help keep this chat room for official news only, it has now been restricted to Justin and the Editors for STARTING threads.

But any gold or platinum member should still be able to reply. Go ahead - test it out

I think it is a very good idea.

By the way, may be we should have a separate place named " Ask the Editor"?

I think that is a great idea - I was suprise when I first joined the site to see others post in the announcement section as.The other sites I go on that secion is kept for Official posts by site owner and mod's.

TRISHA - As to why on other sites I have seen the reason being given as - It helps members who are short on time to see any official business and for new members to find out the rules etc.

Love the idea of it being renamed 'ask The Editor.'

I like this forum being just for news items - it was getting a bit overwhelmed with general announcement kind of stuff!

And we already have an "Ask the Audience" and a place for "Newbies" where anyone can ask a question. Seems to me that the editors are always cruising through the chat rooms; if we just ask our questions in one of those places they always seem to get answered!

Mine always say that when they haven't yet been launched. After you finish your questions, unless you have an image to add, after you click the launch button, it should say pending, I would think. Hope this helps!

I think it's great that we can have an open communications forum with the Editors! It will be very beneficial for quiz writing.

I have discovered a few misspellings in a quiz launched yesterday. While I was able to amend the title and details, I was locked out of the questions section. As my quiz is currently in a queue of about 47 submissions, I was wondering if there is any way it could be accessed to do amendments. I am aware that having launched a quiz it is passed over to the Editors, but to corrections now, would avoid a delay later if it is rejected for typos.

Mary....the editors will be on the look out for spelling errors when they review your quiz. However, if necessary, you can self-edit after your quiz is launched.

You can also add a note to the description section - lots of caps and asterisks would get our attention! Then the quiz could be sent back right away for your own edits and resubmitted to the front of the queue.
