I was home alone and a person who I thought was a friend tried to break in my house. Had three car loads of cops show up and they took her to a shelter instead of jail for some reason. I'd tried to help her in the past as she had gone through some really tough times but this was the straw that broke the camel's back as they say. I told the county officers that I did not want her here and I refused to talk to them until they took her off my property. I got used big time! People can only expect help for so long and then they should try to help themselves. She refused to do this. I can forgive almost anything but it's gonna be awfully hard to forgive this plus she lied to me big time. I think the lying hurt worse than the attempted break in...Although I was scared pretty bad and didn't stop shaking for 2 hours after it happened. Please keep me and my family in your prayers ok? Thanks you all...and I love everyone one of you!

Wow Vickie, what a scary thing to have happen. Sorry you had your faith in mankind shaken. It happens to all of us from time to time. Still doesn't ease the sting of betrayal.

I think I know you well enough through Sploofus to know that this won't stop you from putting yourself out there to help others.

I'm so sorry Vickie! I'm so glad you weren't hurt and that this person was stopped before doing more damage and has been caught.

We're all concerned about you and have you in our thoughts. A very traumatic situation for you and your family indeed.

I'm relieved you got to find out the problem at such a relatively small cost (just psychic not physical damage).
Feel better soon.

How scary. Hope that everyone gets the help that they need. It may not seem as if the incident will fade in your mind, but it will work its way to the back eventually.

How often desperate people bite the hand that feeds them. Most important is that you were not physically assaulted, mentally anguished of course nevertheless. I'm sorry you had to have this happen, it appears on this site you bring sunshine to all. This was quite a storm.

Glad you're okay, Vickie. Sorry this happened, but I'm glad you weren't physically hurt. The emotional part will take some time to heal, but we're here if you want to talk though it.

Yikes Vickie,
I'm so sorry this happened to you. I hope that you are okay, both mentally and emotionally.
You have my prayers for your piece of mind to resume quickly.
Have you considered having a security system installed? These days it doesn't matter what kind of neighborhood you live in, as there are so many freaks out there.
I live in the middle of the woods with 18 acres surrounding me, but I still have a security system, just to be on the safe side.
It's only gone off once and that was my son that lives 5 hrs away from me. He tried to use his key because he forgot the code!
I was in the hospital and he had to proove to the police that he belonged here, by calling me from his cell phone.
It's really funny now, but what if it was someone else?
I really hope you consider getting one installed for your and your family's safety and piece of mind.
