The editors just completed the launch of the Challenge Quizzes. The all have Natural Wonders of the World in their titles. You will find them split in two categories. The split is strictly cosmetic, nothing to do with difficulty or anything else. It was done to allow them all to be launched at the same time and to stay on the front page.

Enjoy them all and rate them. I am sure everyone will appreciate comments, too.

Just wanted to add that some of them can be found in The World category, and some in the Trivia Expert category. Go get 'em all - they are amazingly different!

I have to say that I have LOVED all the quizzes and the different takes we all have on the topic. What a great group of quality trivia quizzes! Wow.

It's also very nice to receive many wonderful, kind notes from people taking my quiz. Thanks to all of you.

This was a great idea and I cannot wait to take part in the next Trivia Challenge quiz assignment! I hope we get even more quizzes next time.

I just finished taking all of them, and they are all great. Everyone desires a hearty round of Huzzahs for their accomplishments. Great job all!!!

Everyone DESIRES huzzahs, but I think all the authors actually DESERVE them!

I've taken all of the "Natural Wonder" quizzes. I enjoyed them all, and I know a lot of work went into them. Thanks to everyone who has taken mine. They all turned out really well.

Thanks again,

I've completed all of the quizzes now, and I must say, even though I didn't do great on all of them I enjoyed them all very much. The different views and topics of the different quizzes were wonderful!

I'm still working my way through the quizzes, but I'm having a blast. I'm amazed at how different they are and how they mirror the interest of the quiz authors.

I also want to send a shout out to the Editors, who apparently don't sleep. WTG, you guys! You ROCK!

I am also impressed at how the editors were able to get those all together and edited and launched in one day! AND they never stopped editing regular quizzes!

It is abundantly clear the editors are not your normal garden variety humans. What are they?

- Robots/Computers
- Aliens
- Zombies
- Prisoners in one of Kathy Lee's Sweatshops
- Devo

You know how you take a very good quiz and think "Hey, I learned something from that" and possibly you stored some of the information in the back of you mind somewhere, but more likely it's forgotten.

Well, the GREAT thing about doing all the quizzes that revolved around a similiar topic is that many of them ended up reinforcing the things I learned.

I strongly encourage anyone who hasn't tried them yet, to take the whole cycle - I thought all the quizzes ranged from very good to outstanding.

1 more quiz slipped into the mix. Don't miss it, so you can say you did the complete set.

1mks' Quiz of Natural Wonders of the World

Good quiz, too.

What a great time both writing and taking the quizzes! Thanks to everyone for their hard work in making this so enjoyable and informative. I think I learned a whole lot. Teresa

Well, I've just done 'em all at last, too!

I have to agree that the result was a truly superb set of quizzes, first class stuff all round.

A marvellous turnout by everyone - especially the writers, all the Editors involved - and, now all those quiz takers!

All thanks especially to Tuzilla who carried the enormous load of liaising between Sploofus, the Editors and the launch!
I thought the editing and launch would take the 'guvners' a week, not 24 hours! What a record! (Or was that a black disc with a hole in the middle?).

I think most are agreed that the idea was a good 'un.
Tuzilla and I are now considering/discussing the possibilities of:

A monthly Community Quiz.
Getting Sploofus to assign the series its own category.
Maybe a future judging and points award for the best quiz each time.

Any other thoughts from all whilst all's in the melting pot?

HEALTH WARNING! The organisation of all this was a logistics nightmare, and can only be done effectively with the co-operation of, and direct liaison with, Sploofus and the Editors.
Most lessons have hopefully now been learned, but there are still a lot of levers to tweak.
PLEASE don't try and launch your own Community Quiz outside of 'the system' - there could very easily be total chaos!
Hopefully, there'll be plenty of chances for all to get involved once everything is sorted and organised properly.

I think more Natural Wonders quiz showed up yesterday after 1mks. This would be the one by ummagumma. I kept thinking they were all in, but this showed up. This one may be the last one, but I'll keep checking.

Ummagumma sent me a message saying he didn't get home until Monday, and had put it in late. So I guess it is better late than never. It was definitely a different way to look at the subject.

I still haven't had a chance to take them all - but I sure am loving them! I do agree that they need their own category so that they can be all in one place, and I don't have to rush to find them all before they disappear.

If you are going to run a new one each month - maybe they could stay visible on a separate page until the new ones go up? That would be way cool. They could have their own link from the home page - like the Editor's Awards do now.

I see ummagumma, 1mks and mskillian have all had quizzes added to the collection.

Let's not forget that when quizzes disappear off the main [age they are not lost in cyberspace! You only need to do a search for "natural" or "wonders" and you will find them all; plus some other stuff
