29 years ago we lost John Lennon to an assassin;s bullet. Most of us found out by watching the Monday Night Footbal that night. RIP John, your music is timeless.

Yes, another day that the music died. He will never be forgotten.
"Imagine"- if John had lived.

My favorite Beatle I miss him so much and his music will live forever! All he was saying is give peace a chance. R.I.P. John Lennon we love you.

I'm remembering that Rowlanda won the celebrity contest by having made out with John Lennon. Or it might have been Ringo.

Thanks for posting this, Craig (Redsoxfan). I also learned from MNF, and still have a very vivid memory of learning about John Lennon's death from Howard Cosell. Very weird to learn that way. Talk about an anti-climatic football game.

I was a young nurse, just 21, working evening shift and we were all just so horrified at the news.... years later, my daughter and I made a trip to the Rock and Roll Hall of fame to celebrate her highschool graduation and there was a large display devoted to John Lennon.... fascinating and yet with a creepy touch -- his clothing that he was wearing, when he was shot, in a brown paper bag, just like I had done with so many patients over the years.... he was just a man after all, in the end, but what an amazingly talented man. I preferred Paul too, but John's music moved my daughter.... many, many years later.

Not sure what "made out" means - but I was only 14,
and John was so gentle and kind - I'm sure we were a
few "bases" back from that !!!!

He is unforgettable....

Thank you "Redsox9". Prepare for some serious reflection (might need a tissue or two) and enjoy this video. The exchange of looks between Oko and John at the close of this video says it all...a love to span the ages.
