HOW OFTEN TOP 25 IN THE LAST 10 DAYS UPDATED

Is often is the Top 25 in the last 10 days list updated....
seems that the same quizzes have been on that list for a while.... is the list updated automatically, or is it manual?

From the looks of it, it is automatic. That wouldn't be that hard to manage compared to a lot of what goes on in here.

By clicking on a quiz it possible to see when it was created. It is possible to calculate the end date by adding ten days. I had hopes for one of my quizzes to go up but looks like the expiration dates are still a couple days away.

The list is updated daily. To qualify for the list the quiz must be less than 14 days old (and no quiz stays on past that 14th day).

I've been trying to find the latest rules for the Top 25 listing. I know I've read it somewhere on Sploofus, but I can't remember where. Help, please.
Thanks

It was on an old post from Sploofus under a top 10 catagory. Justin said, " UPDATE: Only quizzes written in the past 2 weeks are now eligible for inclusion into the "Top 10". Previously, the cutoff time was 30 days."

well the reason I am wondering is because the turnover of new quizzes has been so quick lately, that is it hard to keep your quiz on the front page for very long now.

One of my quizzes got like 45 hits in one day, and that seems to me that may make it popular enough for the big board what with the turnover of quizzes so fierce.

If it was automatic, wouldn't the list fluctuate throughout the day?

When I had one of my quizzes on the Top 25, I got like 375 people to take it. That big board really helps to rack in the points.

My understanding is that it is refreshed only once a day, usually in the early morning hours.

I agree that the list is updated daily in the early morning hours (EST). Taking a quick look at the launch date of some of the top quizzes it appears that all of them will be on the list for a few more days. So the only way for a new quiz to get on the board will be for it to get more hits then a quiz on the list has accumulated. To make the list requires a combination of a hot quiz and an available slot.

now there are drop down menus for each option , that should help get some older quizzes or the new quizzes that were bumped from the popular page more takers.
There are so many new quizzes, they don't stay on the category charts very long any more

Just a quick note - the date on the quiz is NOT the date it was released, but the date it was launched - which is not necessarily the same thing. Since quizzes are usually in the launch queue for 2 or more days (I had one tell me it had 212 quizzes ahead of it recently!!) that date is not useful.

It's even worse on the 'Create Quiz' page for the author, since the date there is the one it was created, and if as I did recently you write a quiz but don't launch it immediately, the date becomes totally meaningless. I've started keeping my 'your quiz is now live' messages because that's the only way I can tell when it actually did go live!

Sploofus, any chance of changing the date on the quiz AND the one on the 'Create Quiz' page to the date it's made live? It would make life a lot easier for us!!
