12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS

So I guess this is the first of the 12 days of Christmas. I'm doubting many of us want a partridge in a pear tree.

But I thought it might be fun to totally throw caution to the wind and share what we would like for each of the 12 days. I know we'd all like world peace and for those we love to be home and healthy. But this list is just for "stuff."

If The Twelve Days of Christmas were written by your loved one who needed a Christmas list from you (and money were no object), what would be on your wish list?

For me, the present I'd want for Day 1 is definitely:

1. The world's best housecleaner - to scour the house, top to bottom, windows and all!

I think Christmas is the first day of the 12. Could be wrong.

It will probably take us a week and a half to set up our lists, so just as well to start thinking now.

Not to mention that some of us are in Day 2 of 8, so we're already behind the curve.

And I'll take that house cleaner as soon as you're through with him.

You're probably right about when it starts. But in my family we always started before Christmas, with our final biggest gift on Christmas Eve at midnight.

What a nice tradition that would be.

Unfortunately, lately it's a real scramble to come up with just one gift for immediate family and close friends.

We did gag gifts too.

One year I gave 5 golden shower curtain rings.

(Ken, speaking of day 2 of 8 reminded me of the "Community" episode on Thursday where the adult college students were trying to blend their different religious and non-religious observances into one holiday party, which initially was going downhill fast, but a fight actually pulled them all together. Pretty funny and sweet at the same time.)

But I digress. Since we're talking about theoretical 12 days of gifts (and I like the five gold shower rings, BTW) and something you or someone you know has always wanted, my sister always wanted a Chevy Corvette. She has always driven a practical car, and I suspect after driving for an hour with the wind blowing her hair around, she'd want a trade-in, but...at least she ought to give it a spin. (Do you think I could take her to a car dealership for a test run, and that would accomplish the same thing?)

Depends where you live Pepper....
It wouldn't be a good idea in Canada right now
we are in the middle of a "deep freeze"
She'd have no ears left at the end of the ride....

I would like a palomino horse just like Roy Rogers' Trigger. Always have wanted one since I was probably 7 or 8 years old. (Better make that 2 since my granddaughter would want one too)
