May I be the first to wish you all best wishes on this very important holiday!
OK so it's no big deal for most, but I hope you all have a great day whoever your favorite musician is.

At his birthday parties, young Ludwig always wanted to play Pin The Tail On The DaDaDaDonkey.

It's also Jane Austen's birthday ... and mine!

"It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a composer in
possession of many good compositions, must be in want of an author to bring to his fab birthday party."

Rock on, Ludwig and Jane!

A toast to Ludwig, Jane and Lamizell, and Salud! to Lamizell!

I'd make a special thread just for Jane, but she wasn't Austentatious.

Beethoven is (almost) my favorite composer, Jane Austen IS my favorite writer, and I guess they did overlap. I don't think they would have liked one another if they could have understood each other, do you?

Besides the remarkable Beethoven, Austen, and Lamizell, it's also the big day for Noel Coward, Arthur C. Clarke, Philip K. Dick, and William "the Refrigerator" Perry.

I sure hope I get invited to their joint birthday party.

Happy Birthday to Beethoven. [and Lamizell- enjoy your new found tokens]

It's no "surprise" that Slicko reminded us. Actually, I heard some of his compositions playing earlier today on our local classical music station.

Happy Birthday to one and all, especially our Sploofus friend Lamizell. Think I'll listen to some Beethoven

Hubbie is in Montreal putting his folks in an assisted living, so he can't even celebrate the birthday of his 2nd favorite composer. Drat.

Prayers for Jim and his parents (and maybe a little for me, who has to listen to all this) during this difficult time.
