On a different tack, is anyone else having trouble with Norton AntiVirus suddenly wanting to test every quiz? It began 2 days ago for me...1 delay of 30 seconds, and a pop-up from Norton in my task tray, informing me that "IE is waiting for results of Trivia Quiz scan". Could really put me off quizzes; hope it isn't a Sploofus problem

Sorry...that should be "a" delay of 30 seconds...for each quiz

Justin has mentioned before that Internet Explorer is not always compatible with Sploofus protocols. You might try an update of Norton, and an update of IE. Then switch to a different internet browser!

I have the problem also. I've been clicking a "don't bother checking" or something like that when it shows up. It still delays the opening of pages.

Please ignore the previous post. I put "greater than" and "less than" symbols in the text and some words disappeared. Hopefully, this try is better.

I've only noticed this when Norton Antivirus is running a scheduled scan of my PC, which I
believe defaults to once per week.

When this happens again, assuming you're using Windows, you can display active programs by
holding down the Alt key and pressing Tab. Still holding down Alt, use Tab to
select the NAV icon, which should be in a yellow circle. The words "Norton AntiVirus"
should show up at the bottom when it is selected. Release the Alt and Tab keys and you
should be in the NAV window.

Assuming that NAV is indeed actively scanning your PC, you can either pause it or stop the
scan with the buttons in the NAV window. Stopping the scan will end NAV, but then you lose the benefit of the scan. Pausing it will let you do Sploofus stuff without hurting your
performance and you can resume the scan later when you're doing something that isn't time-
critical or if you'll be away from the PC for a while.

If NAV isn't actively scanning your PC, something else may be using up PC resources. That may be another program you have running or something you don't want, like spyware.
