HELP

I've uploaded pictures on my profile before and never had any problems. I'm trying to upload one now. I click browse; select picture; click open; click upload. At the top it says it has been changed, but when I go back into it, it's still the old picture. Am I doing something different than I've usually done? Any suggestions? All suggestions appreciated.

Thanks!

Marilyn...

I changed my picture, too, and had to click the 'refresh' button on my browser to see the new one. I think it depends on what browser you use and what temporary internet files are stored on your computer.

If refreshing does not work, others will jump in and help you!

Thanks so much Jeanne! Soon as I read your post, I tried it, not sure which order to do the refresh, before upload or after, but I clicked it really quick, before the upload, and the picture came up immediately. I wouldn't have thought of that. Maybe it will help someone else if they have a problem with it.

Thanks again,
Mariilyn...

If you see the same picture after an update.
Try "refresh"
...if that doesn't work
Try ctrl-F5

Thanks Steve for the extra choice. I have the new picture now. Also, Jeanne, I checked your profile, and like "Your New Sploofus Helper". I see you have a smaller picture and the larger one. Right now with the knowledge I have, if I add a picture, it deletes the old one. Can you explain how to add more than one picture and still keep the other ones? I'm not sure I understood what you meant when you added the words and something about the "comments" section. I might figure that one out if I actually go to it, but haven't tried anything yet.

Thanks again,
Marilyn...

Marilyn, the small picture is my "avatar", which is just the picture a platinum member gets to use to replace the picture that changes the longer you are a member of Sploofus (you see it by everyone's name in the Chat in the left-hand column).

I just added text to my photo offline so it is part of the file I uploaded. It seems you still only get to upload one photo.

Thanks Jeanne! I think someone made a comment about being room for more than one picture with the new format, which is why I asked. I understand and one is a plenty. I think the new profile is a new fresh look. Thanks for your help!

Do you just get to upload one .jpg file?

Steve,

I checked the pictures on your profile. Those are very interesting pictures, and now I'm wondering who the people are, about the rabbit thing, and did you go to Woodstock?
I suppose if you could change the Sploofus logo to the 4th of July that this wasn't hard for you to do. It's a very nice collection.

You can only upload one .jpg, but there's nothing that says you can't make a collage in photoshop first, and then save it as one file!

Steve is clever but some of the rest of us know a thing or two
