SCATTERGORIES ALA SUMMERTIME - "TRES"

Hello returning players and to those who may not have played the first two rounds! The following is a cut and paste from round number one explaining the game.
*********************************************************************************
I enjoy the game of "Scattergories", but beyond that; I love the game! For those perhaps unfamiliar with this word game, I've included a brief explanation on how the game is played ala Summertime.

Each "Round" will consist of a different category. EACH INDIVIDUAL PLAYER will provide ONE response for that catergory using the LETTER I've used to start the round. Example: The category is "colors" and the letter is "P". It's a good idea to expand the horizon with your guess; in other words think of something other than pink, such as pale red, peach, pigment, purple or puce.

My word choice will be "silent" just for the fun of it, to see if anyone comes up with the same response. I will keep EACH ROUND TO A MANAGEABLE LIST of 25 responses, so please be kind and NUMBER your response to avoid duplications; and to ease the strain of my brain's grey matter.

The third round category is - A BOY'S NAME The first letter of each response is to begin with the letter "C".

I've choosen my response; can you match it?

Okay, response #1 please!

Well done! Lot's of outside the box guesses, but just not far enough outside!
Remember the epic film "Ben Hur"?

The boy's name Charlton is pronounced CHARL-ten. It is of Old English origin, and its meaning is "free peasant's settlement". Charlton has 4 variant forms: Carleton, Carlton, Charleston and Charleton.

Let's try it again with using a name for a girl....see next thread.
