Wow Justin, that is sooooo kewl. Are you planning to do it for WP and the other areas too?

Justin, it's great that you're adding all these new features to the profile etc, but please - if you're going to announce to the world that I've never managed to get in the top 3 in Word Rounds at least give me the option to turn it off in my account preferences!

Even when I used to try my hardest to do so I never managed to get higher than about No 9 (on a good day and at a time when most of the experts were asleep) - if you *must* put something about WR on there, couldn't you have it say 'highest placing ever' and let it say No 9?

Do you realise how few people *ever* manage to get in the top 3 of WordRounds?!!! About 98% of Sploofusers are going to have "No 1 - never, No 2 - never, No 3 - never, Average - N/A" with it as it is at the moment!!!

I'm sorry, I do appreciate all your hard work (and I know I'm going to get stamped on for saying this), but I really feel this one was a mistake!

I totally agree with Berlym. I was upset when I saw it. I already have my daily battle with QOTD, I do not need this staring me in the face everytime I go to my profile. I bet the only people who will disagree with me are the ones who are always in the top 3, or have a good chance of being there often. I will not be there any time soon, (practice, practice, practice), but when I do get there it will be self-gratifying (?). Please do not tell me it's something to strive for, I already know that. I don't like this new addition, I do not like it at all. Thanks for letting me get that out. With all respect, Swiper

This site just keeps getting better and better! Thanks for all of your hard work and great ideas, Justin.

THe WR stats could be like the badges for TQOTD categories, which don't appear unless the player has at least 60% correct. The WR stats should likewise not appear if the player has no WR finishes in the top 3. Better yet, if the player doesn't have at least one each of the top 3.

By the way, I think the WR stats are an excellent and interesting addition to the profile. It would be nice to see them incorporated into a table for easy comparison of the top WR players, like the Sploofactor leaderboard.

And a leaderboard for Who the heck am I and the song quiz too.

I was going to totally agree with Berlym until I checked my profile. I could swear I have never made the Top 3, but according to Sploofus I have done it more than once! I am shocked! Did I really get a #1 spot once and can't remember??

I would agree that the stat should not show up unless you have achieved at least one of the places.

And I hope the WP stats are next. I have been longing to see what my best place has been in WP's.

But I LOVE all the cool new features...keep 'em coming Mr. Sploof

I saw that I made #1 more times than I remembered in W/R too! If I had never made it to #1, I would find the stats an incentive to strive harder!
I guess that is my competitive spirit......!

They should show how many times I made #11 in the wordrounds,
that would be the highest stat for me!! LOL,

I can see how someone who plays WRs a lot wouldn't want to see their stats if they haven't
placed in the top 3 yet though.
Only having the stats pop up once you've placed in the top 3 sounds good. (I think you should
only have had to place once in any spot. If you've never placed and you suddenly come in first,
you don't want to have to wait until you get a 2nd & 3rd place finish before the achievment is noted. =)

I think word rounds are one of the unique features of this site. I also think that more folks should try them. Perhaps the recognition box will encourage folks to try and participation will increase. I agree with those that prefer an optional or limited box ut I think Justin should wait to see what effect the box has on participation. Different strokes for different folks is normal.

I have already modified the profiles yesterday. The box only appears if you have placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in the past...

Come to think of it, it *would* be nice to have a stat for 'highest ever placing' in WRs and WPs on the profile - with details, of course (time for WRs and tries/points/time for WPs, as well as the placing), but all I'd want is a line in the standard stats - like "Date joined: ...", just "Highest placing in WordRounds: ..." and "Highest placing in WordPuzzles: ..." - if that's not too much to ask for?

Pretty please?

Thanks, Sploofus! The display is great. Besides the stats, I love the color scheme...elegant! Can't wait to see what you add next!

Do the W/R stats show how many times you got 90% for a lightning-fast time??
