SCATTERGORIES ALA SUMMERTIME - "CINCO"

Hello again returning players and hello to those who may not have played the first four rounds! The following is a cut and paste from round number one explaining the game.
*********************************************************************************
I enjoy the game of "Scattergories", but beyond that; I love the game! For those perhaps unfamiliar with this word game, I've included a brief explanation on how the game is played ala Summertime.

Each "Round" will consist of a different category. EACH INDIVIDUAL PLAYER will provide ONE response for that catergory using the LETTER I've used to start the round. Example: The category is "colors" and the letter is "P". It's a good idea to expand the horizon with your guess; in other words think of something other than pink, such as pale red, peach, pigment, purple or puce. So, in other words...think outside of the proverbial box.

My word choice will be "silent",just for the fun of it, to see if anyone comes up with the same response. I will keep EACH ROUND TO A MANAGEABLE LIST of 25 responses, so please be kind and NUMBER your response to avoid duplications; and to ease the strain of my brain's grey matter.

The fifth round category is - Rude Things People Say and/or Do

The first letter of your response is to begin with the letter "R". I've choosen my response; can you match it?

Okay, response #1 please!

Rush to criticize everybody they don't agree with or don't like, and post streams of insults on Salty Dog (instead of trivial Tangents where they can be ignored)

Wow! Interesting, interesting....and oh, did I say interesting? Pet peeves personified!!!! This is really a tough category, I shall be more precise in the next round! However, the end result...lots of venting!!

Keep on digging for a word beginning with the letter "R"!!!

actually J3px, as I read it, you are No. 24 AND 25. So.... Ms. Summertime, looks like we're ready for a new subject and letter.

This is a lot of fun, but sometimes takes some research and head-scratchin' to come up with a response.

Rude things people say and/or do beginning with the letter "R"? Oh, let me count the ways - there are so many!
However, Asor hit the nail on the proverbial head with "Ridicule"!!! Congratulations Asor...whoever and whatever you are! Asor has been a member of Sploofus since March 10, 2008...period. Ranking #565 out of the psuedo 71,246 "members' of Sploofus, he/she chooses to remain incognito...no problem with that, but my interest is piqued! I sent a "hug" to him/her; it has been a while since he/she has had a "Do Something" done and hugs are always a good thing. Congratulations Asor...you rock! OBTW....he/she pays to play and we like that about our fellow Sploofusers, don't we!

Well, I don't know what to say!! How incredibly exciting! I'd like to thank the Academy, of course. And my family, who have stood by me these many months. My agent, who, while devoid of charm and scruples, has had such a knack for keeping in the manner to which I've become accustomed. And, of course, to YOU, the little people, without whom I...

Man, I've been wanting to slap - er.. speak - to you. Your commercials make me want to throw something at the TV. No one doesn't have time to take a weekly pill - I don't care who you are! You know, your jaw's going to rot if you take them too much longer. Then you won't be able to make those commercials!

Well looky what's in today's news!! Sixth place, people, nothing to sneeze at. I am BACK (with or without my rotting jaw).

(Newser) – The man who gave his voice to Darth Vader and the CNN tagline is the most trusted celebrity in America, according to a survey commissioned by Forbes. Tom Hanks came in second and Michael J. Fox third. Deadlist Catch host Mike Rowe came in fourth and Morgan Freeman fifth, based on factors of likability, reliability, and credibility.

Sally Field grabbed sixth place and Ron Howard seventh, with Will Smith, Bill Cosby and Denzel Washington rounding out the top 10. Celebs can cash in on their trustworthiness. Analysts say endorsements from trusted celebs will continue to be a mainstay of marketing campaigns, despite the mauling some firms received from the Tiger Woods debacle. Click here to see the other new "favorites" list Tom and Denzel just ranked high on (along with Meryl, George).

I remember that Oscar moment almost as clearly as the appearance of Gwyneth Paltrow sans bra and in a sheer top. I'm trying to recall who the actor was who copresented an award with her. He looked utterly mortified and spent the whole time trying not to look anywhere other than her forehead.
