I have just noticed that we are able again to see the last time someone has taken a quiz. However, my stat. has " N/A " all across, hopefully it is just temporary.

Thanks Justin for all new and old resurected features.

The information on date taken is not available at this time for quizzes taken before Justin effected the capability to show it. It may not be possible to recover that information from those earlier quiz sessions.

That's great, thanks, Justin!

Any chance of having the difficulty rating added, too? I know it's shown in stars, but we could have just the number of stars (eg "5") ... Only I often find myself checking the quizzes' opening page to see how they're rated and it would be nice to have it all on the 'Create Quiz' page ...

We are having exciting times, though - Justin is really doing us proud with all the new functionality!

Thanks, Sploof!

All of mine say N/A. Quick, somebody take one of my quizzes, so I can see it change! LOL

OK, Alice...I just took one of yours. Does the date show up on Create A Quiz? Now do one of mine so I can see too.

On my Create A Quiz page it still shows N/A under Last Taken, but does give a date for the recent takers under Date Taken. Will the Last Taken count be updated?

Even though people have taken my quizzes it doesn't show up.
Presumably it will be updated once a day or something?

Hopefully Mr Sploofus will explain soon.

Still working on this folks - the data is being collected but the displays still need some work to show that data. It will be ready soon!

I can imagine that it will be quite a strain on the system though because if it was to be updated as soon as someone takes a quiz then that would amount to an extremely large amount as i surmise that a lot of quizzes get taken each and every day.

But another great improvement to what is already a great site.

Finally, It has happenned. Myself, Alice and probably others were saying all along that creating the quiz on molluscs is more time consuming than " Colors of the vegetables" ant it gets far less takers.
However, if you read new instructions to quiz rating the implication is that the harder the quiz, the less takers it has, and it is more difficult to create it.
I have taken one quiz long time ago with a difficulty level of 8 or 9. The questions were on distance value between different objects in the Solar System. I can see why the difficulty rating was high, since no one usually knows by heart this kind of stuff, but I doubt this quiz took a lot of effort to write.

I feel really great that the site is being so much improved! I hope our comments would just help in the positive way.

I apologize for not finishing my post. What I have ment to say is that the number of takers sometimes depends not only on the quiz difficulty ( there may be very difficult movie quizzes too) but it depends more on a specific topic. More popular topics would have far more takers regardless of difficulty. In my case my quizzes on basketball have many more takers than quiz on chess champions.
In addition to that I personaly do not even look at the number of stars when i take a quiz. The topic is what interests me. Thanks.

There certainly have been improvements in a lot of things recently. My last quiz took off like gangbusters and is like three times the number of takers as any of my other quizzes. It's not that much better, I'm thinking it's because of the recent enhancements.

Dusty - I find that there is really very little rhyme or reason why one quiz takes off and others just sit.

Obviously obscure topics that are not in the mainstream of most people's everyday lives (like mollusks, chess champions or distances between planets) will have less takers than a quiz on a current blockbuster movie! But a catchy title is VERY important...and the amount of time it stays on the "front" pages.

Other than that, well-written, long-winded, or FITB...they all get taken by somebody!

Has anyone written a quiz that was NEVER taken????

It is a wonderful statistical breakdown and information facts sheet. Congratulations Justin and your team, you think of everything, and how to make Sploofus even better! What is really interesting is the difficulty factor, and I was fascinated to note how some quizzes I authored, that I considered "easy", have in fact a higher quotient value than those I thought were harder. It was also good to see how one of the first quizzes I wrote way back, was taken as recently as 17/08/06. So again, this new stats. layout will be very useful as an update gazette for quizzes written. Thanks Sploofus.

Thanks Justin for all of the hard work and new things you are doing to the site. I catch myself checking all of the time to see if anything else is added or new. You've done an amazing job with it.
