One of the quizzes i authored I launched to be accepted by an editor and it made its way up the numbers but it seemed to get stuck.
It still says it has been submitted for editing and there is 10 quizzes ahead of it but it has said that for 2 days.

I was just wondering if this has ever happened to anyone before?
Is it a problem with it or is there some other reason?

I was going to send a message to player support but that can take upto 2 weeks to get sorted.

Ok thanks for that.
I am seriously getting nervous about it though because it took me ages and ages to write it, which is quite rare for my quizzes. lol

It has happened to me on several ocasions. I have asked the same questions, but it is just a part of the process sometimes. The editors are all volunteers, so it may take them some time to get to a quiz, or it does happen when they have to verify the source or discuss something amongst themselves and Justin. Do not worry.

It is a well-kept secret that the queue length number you see is only an approximation of how many quizzes need to be processed before yours is seen by an Editor.

Without going into too many details, when a quiz is first submitted, the number you see represents all other quizzes waiting for an Editor, regardless of status. That includes both new submissions and resubmissions, which are handled differently. When a quiz is resubmitted after having been sent back to the author, it generally goes to the Editor who looked it over the first time, meaning that if other Editors are editing but that one is not, the quiz may spend a while in a holding pattern.

Sploofernatural it's ok now it actually went through.

Don't know if you were the editor that dealt with it or not, it was the Latin To English quiz.

If it was you could you please read the note in Salty Dog I posted about EA's, please.

A quiz I submitted a few days ago seemed to progress quickly and then become stuck in the queue. When I received the go-ahead, it was the regular acceptance note, with an added a message and a poem(!). Perhaps the poem is sent out frequently, but it suited my quiz so well that I'm guessing the editor either wrote it on the spot or revised one he/she had on hand. This extra thought by the editor probably accounts for the slight delay in getting the quiz through the pipeline. But it was worth it, to know that there is a human at the other end.

Has this happened to anyone else?
