I don't want anyone to think that i'm fishing here.
This is a question for the editor of my quiz Latin To English Part 1,

I was just wondering what kind of improvements would I have had to make to this format for it to be eligible for an EA?

Any pointers on where I am going wrong would be much appreciated.

There is no hard and fast rule. Take as many EA quizzes as you can to see what gets awarded.

The editors all appreciate a little extra info, an actual question being asked, good distractors, and a touch of humor doesn't hurt!

We all love a good image on a quiz too, but that is never a deal breaker.

Withouth trying to seem cheeky I have taken some that got EA's that are worse than some that didn't get them (and I'm not just talking about my own ones).

I suppose sometimes it is just your luck who gets to edit it.

Quite honestly I don't see the point of 'trying' for EAs (or, indeed, for points).
I just write the quizzes I like writing.
If an EA pops up that's cream on the cake and much appreciated.
If it helps, last year I wrote a total spoof quiz. To my enormous embarrassment and the Editor's eternal shame (who, of course, committed suicide), it got an EA!
I didn't even dare confess for some months!
Write good quizzes and the EAs will come, maybe erratically, but what the xxxx!

Maybe some of the editors appreciate good spoof for what it is.

I am in total agreement with Surreyman. Writing quizzes is a terrific brain exercise, especially for the "older" ones among us, (yes, Surreyman, that's me too!) and an EA is a terrific thing to be awarded. I will never knowingly write a shoddy quiz, but after spending so much time on the quizzes that have won an EA, I don't feel I have the time or inclination to turn out one a day! Some will be quick and, hopefully, fun. I see Sploofus as a terrific educational tool for young and old alike. Some may have seen the recent network interview with Americans in the street, the reporter asking "who was the first president?" Folks, let me tell was an embarrassment! If you don't believe we are getting dumber, that should have clinched it. Long live Sploofus!

Sploofus is such a fantastic place for learning and having fun (sometimes the fun is when you aren't learning. lol)

Without sounding cheeky I have noticed that there are a lot of older people that use the site and as they are the ones who have lived more have more knowledge at their disposal.
So as for the dumbing down of general society that seems to be happening at least it seems Sploofus has the capability of reversing that.

Long live Sploofus.
