Very good. More of a historical viewpoint than I anticipated, so more research than usual. But all very interesting.

Excellent; thanks Lane. Lots of tidbits I did not know.

I'd have been disappointed not to be near the top for this one, and certainly, I'd like a similar one every week. But looking at it objectively -- had it been about cricket, for example -- the number of not-particularly-familiar proper names would have proved frustrating. Or did I just end up with all the playwrights?

Lane, great puzzle and I learned a few things, too. Hope there will be more!!

Thanks for the positive comments! My life is about to get insanely busy for the next few weeks, so it may be a little while before I get another WP out there. As for the playwrights' names, they were in every puzzle--I thought most of them would be fairly well-known, and the two or three that aren't should be. Anyway, I always want to give props to playwrights when I can--theatre wouldn't exist without them!
