CLEVERCLOGGS

He's gone-no longer has a profile. Seldom if ever agreed with him on all things political but it makes me sad he is no longer here

Lodi is also gone again. People can just take so much. I believe that is why I don't interact with many people on here any more.

What the hell is happening to our sploofus family? Man, I remember the good days we all got along and if there was a problem things always seemed to work out. Apologies were exchanged and everything was good.We were always here for eachother now look. This makes me sick how this is happening. I really thought we would always be a family here. Now it is just Sploofus, not Sploofus family at all, and that makes me sad.

Who knows why people drop out. It may not have anything to do with Sploofus, but rather with personal matters.

And Jank, as far as I am concerned it definitely helped to move the political discussions to Trivial Tangents. Those of us who enjoy a lighter approach can enjoy Salty Dog and those of you who enjoy heated political discussions can do so on TT.

As for Lodi, I didn't realize she was no longer here, but I think she was hoping it would be the same site it was when there were 20,000 members and Justin was on here all the time. It's like some of us who are older keep talking about the 'good old days' but even if we went back to the 1950s, it would never be the same as it was then. Things evolve, change - for better or worse, which is up to you to interpret - grow and go into slumps. Nothing stays the same and you'll only be disappointed if you try to recapture the 'good old days.'

I'm sure this won't move me higher on any Christmas card lists, but... While I wish him the best,
I can't seem to share any sadness over 'Cloggs' departure.

In memory of Cloggs; Sarah is HOT!

I'd be pretty surprised if Dave/Clevercloggs left because of the boards. He was never perturbed by what was written. He was a bit annoyed recently about some kerblunks that didn't get published timely. Perhaps it was just time to go as a result. It's too bad, he's an honest man, whether people agreed with him or not.

And there is a time for all of us, in each of our activities. We get tired of things, and move on to something else. I used to write lots of quizzes here, but then got busy with ebay, and Farmville, and real work. There's a season.

There will always be someone else coming on through to add his own particular flavor to the chatboards or quizzes or whatever. Doesn't mean there was a fight. Might just mean it was time to mooooooove on.

Most likely using the internet was a parole violation for the Clogger.

CC was "in your face" and vocal about his beliefs. Yet, we have e-mailed on a personal basis and he has a totally different personality in that respect. you never had to guess about what he was trying to say, but he was also very gentlemanly. I wish he had shown that side in the public forum more often.

Whatever his reason for being gone, I think Bigbird is right, there just comes a time when it's best to take a breather or find other pursuits. I wish him well.

I agree, Pat. He's very different person-to-person, though equally outspoken, and I like him both ways. I did cringe a bit sometimes at the virulence of some of his anti-religion remarks - it's a point of view thing, and he felt equally offended by the tone of the more religious posts; it offends me as well to be told that I have no morality and other such nonsense.

As for how he was on the boards, I think that was shaped to some degree by what was already there, and further antagonized by some of the more unreasonable responses he got. But I don't think his leaving had a thing to do with the boards. He messaged me that he was angry about what he considered an unfair rejection of a quiz (Kb maybe, dunno). I tried to talk him down but he took it very personally. I asked him for details but he never answered. He sent me an email contact, so maybe I'll find out more.

CleverCloggs left because he felt the editor had been unfair to his kerblunk. Thank's why he cancelled his quizzes. When I talked to him I was not quite sure if he would no longer participate in the forum because he said he was slung out. He gave me his e-mail address. I did e-mail him this morning to see if he's on a sabbatical. Hopefully, he'll surpise us and participate in the forums. I really don't think Dave is the type of person who cares what people think of him.

It is too bad I thought he was quite witty, didn't agree with his religious beliefs but I don't believe in many too in my face religious beliefs. He was a great addition politically and maybe he will come back. I am friends with Tuzilla on facebook so I know he is still around. Maybe he will come back, the editors would never make me quit sploofus actually I don't know what would. Maybe if my friends decided to become republicans and vote for Sarah Palin.

Starting to feel a bit better. Sure glad the answer wasn't attempting suicide and/or needing psychiatric drugs. Heck, just the anti-nausea meds are enough for me. Those darn pills are enough to knock out anyone that isn't used to drugs. I'm sure glad they don't put me on any gas that I would have to get off of. I would probably be like , also!

Poor Asor, don't get stressed. Be happy

I'm sorry to learn about him leaving. I enjoyed his quizzes. I'm not into the Trivial Tangents stuff--I get enough heartache from real life. Cleverclogs was always nice to me. I'll miss him.

I will miss my friend being here. We have different views about God and religion and about some people. I think of him differently than he thinks of himself. But no matter, he is my friend. I love him and our friendship unconditionally.
